Armarouge ex and Torkoal Deck [★ Best ★]	Strengths: • Armarouge ex's Armor removes 30 damage from attacks. • Torkoal has a low 2 Energy cost and can do decent early game damage. Weaknesses: • Needs high Energy maintenance since both Attackers discard Fire Energy after attacking.

Use Trainer Cards That Can Attach Energy

Armarouge ex discards Energy every time it attacks, which makes it difficult to set up other Pokemon and attack consistently. Bring cards that can attach additional Energy to Armarouge ex such as the Flame Patch or Elemental Switch.

Attach Rocky Helmet to Injure Attacking Pokemon

You can take advantage of Armarouge ex's Ability by attaching a Rocky Helmet to the card. Since Armor lessons the damage of opponent's attacks, it will likely take multiple turns in order to defeat Armarouge ex. You can supplement it with healing cards as well to increase its survivability.

How to Beat Armarouge ex Decks

Use Fast Water-Type Pokemon

Use Water Pokemon that can attack quickly to counter Armarouge ex. Having the weakness damage bonus can cancel out most of Armarouge ex's ability, and if you catch them quick enough, you may be able to defeat them before Charcadet can even evolve.

One of the best Water counter Pokemon to Armarouge ex would be Alolan Ninetales ex. Alolan Ninetales ex is not only quick to set up, its attack effect can prevent your opponent from taking Energy from the Energy Zone.

Remove Armarouge ex's Energy

Because Armarouge ex already discards 1 of its Energy after it attacks, using cards that can discard the opposing Pokemon's Energy can disrupt its set-up.
