Poison your opponent using either Dragalge ex or Nihilego. For the most part, you'll want to have Dragalge ex in your Active Spot, while Nihilego and Darkrai ex stay on the Bench.
Nihilego automatically boosts the Poison damage the opponent takes through its More Poison Ability, and Darkrai ex can deal an additional 20 damage to the opponent's Active Pokemon if you attach Energy onto it even while it's on the Bench.
Dragalge ex benefits more from being in the Active Spot, so that it can make use of its Poison Point Ability. Attach a Rocky Helmet to it to further punish your opponent when attacking Dragalge ex.

![]() Red Card (P-A 006) |
![]() ![]() ・Red Card can help prevent opposing Pokemon from evolving and healing their Poison status. ・It is recommended to keep at least one Pokemon Center Lady card, so that Dragalge ex can recover. |

Dragalge ex's Ability allows it to Poison any Pokemon that attacks it while it's in the Active Spot. Since you can expect your opponent to get Poisoned whenever they go on the offensive, you can further increase the Poison damage they take by adding a Pokemon like Nihilego to your side of the field.
Poison Status and Pokemon That Cause Poison

Since a good amount of damage inflicted by Dragalge ex decks are from Poison, it's a good idea to have cards that can heal Poison. The Pokemon Center Lady and Big Malasada cards are easy enough to slot onto any deck, so consider having these on hand.
Take note that you can also heal status conditions when you evolve an afflicted Pokemon.
HP Recovery and Healing Cards List

Dragalge ex Decks benefit more from longer battles, since they have a generally low damage output from their attacks but make up for it in passive damage every turn. To best deal with this strategy, use strong, fast-paced Pokemon that can get rid of Dragalge ex quickly.
Rampardos and Donphan ex are some of the strongest Fighting-type Pokemon you can use. Rampardos can OHKO Dragalge ex, but take note that it will also get damaged in return.
