It is best to strike Infernape ex with Water Pokemon that have high attack damage and are preferrably quick to set-up. Cards like Palkia ex can OHKO Infernape ex and Arceus ex, and tank one hit from either Pokemon. However, if you want to strike fast, then cards like Starmie ex and Articuno ex can be built quickly.
Use Misty to generate additional energy for your Water Pokemon.

For an aggressive deck like the Arceus ex and Infernape ex deck, bring HP cards like the Potion or the Pokemon Center Lady to recover from critical damage. Attach a Giant Cape to your Pokemon to tank against heavier hits.
You would also want to keep Erika in your Grass decks to heal a larger amount of HP for your Grass pokemon.

Exeggutor ex and Yanmega ex are both quick to build and tanky Grass-type Pokemon which can go up against Infernape ex.
Replacing the Rocky Helmet with a Giant Cape, both Pokemon can withstand one hit from Infernape ex. Additionally, Yanmega ex has a Lightning-type weakness, not Fire-type.
Yanmega ex is played alongside Exeggutor ex to consistently deal high 120 damage. This lets it take out low HP Basic Pokemon, or 2HKO Infernape ex.

Frosmoth has a low energy cost and can inflict Sleep on the opponent's Pokemon. This gives you enough time to build Gyarados on the Bench. Although it takes a while to build, Gyarados' Hyper Beam can remove an energy from the opponent's Active Pokemon which can interrupt their set-up.
Misty and Manaphy are also available to accelerate Energy and speed up your build.
Use Irida to heal your Pokemon when needed.
