| Aerodactyl ex Deck Variants | Strengths and Weaknesses |
|---|---|
Rampardos and Aerodactyl ex Deck
[★ Best ★] |
Strengths:
• The deck will always start with your lone Cleffa, and will always be able to use Twinkly Call to find an Evolution card for the following turn. • Rampardos's low-cost attack can OHKO most Pokemon and deal meaningful damage to Pokemon who can tank it. • Aerodactyl ex can prevent your opponent's Active Pokemon from evolving. Weaknesses: • A very risky deck to play, as Cleffa might fetch an Evolution card that does not match your fossil. • No reliable way to search for your Fossils besides drawing into them. |
Aerodactyl ex and Primeape Deck
|
Strengths:
• Aerodactyl ex can prevent your opponent's Active Pokemon from evolving. • Aerodactyl has a reliable attack that can 2HKO most Pokemon, or OHKO smaller Basic Pokemon. • Primeape can consistently deal 50 damage for a single Energy. Weaknesses: • Primeape only has 80 HP, making it very easy to KO. • Makes use of Fossil Pokemon, which are difficult to set up. |

This deck can win or lose fast with your sole Basic Pokemon being Cleffa, who can search out your Evolution cards as early as your first turn. Your single Cleffa runs the risk of getting donked if you do not find your Fossils quickly enough.
It is also very important to find Rare Candy as quickly as possible so that you can immediately start attacking.

Aerodactyl ex works best with teammates that can set up and attack quickly. Make sure to add Basic and Stage 1 Fighting-types with efficient Attack Costs to your deck!
Best Fighting Type Deck and Cards Tier List

Aerodactyl ex's Ability makes it difficult for your opponent to play decks that utilize Stage 1 and Stage 2 cards. This can set up the field so that your opponent only has a Basic unevolved Pokemon as their Active Pokemon, making it easy for your attackers to score KOs.

Basic Pokemon that do not need to evolve match up well against Aerodactyl ex. Since they are unaffected by Primeval Law, they can simply focus on attacking and scoring KOs.
Psychic-type Pokemon like Mewtwo ex and Giratina ex also have the type advantage against most of Aerodactyl ex's teammates.

You can try to KO the Old Amber before it can evolve and use its Ability. Sabrina and Cyrus can draw them out to the Active Spot. You can also use cards that can damage Benched Pokemon such as Genetic Apex Hitmonlee.
