While using Pom-Pom Oricorio to nullify attacks from ex Pokemon, accelerate Lightning Energy to Genetic Apex Magneton with its Ability. Once set up, evolve Magneton to Crimson Blaze Magnezone.
Promote your fully-set up Magnezone to the Active Spot since it will be your main attacker. Magnezone's Mirror Shot will force the opponent to flip a coin whenever they attack. When flipping Tails, the attack does not happen. Taking advantage of this disruption will be key to victory.

This deck makes use of single-point Pokemon and aims to have advantageous point trades against Mega ex Decks.
Heliolisk is a great Pokemon for finishing off damaged Pokemon with its 120 damage Thunderbolt, while Magnezone can put them into Heliolisk's KO range while being disruptive with Mirror Shot.

Rampardos' Head Smash can easily OHKO enemies with only one Energy, making it a highly cost-effective card. However, this comes with the drawback that if the opponent's Pokemon gets knocked out, Rampardos takes 50 damage.
With Ditto, you can duplicate Rampardos moves. However, because of the effect, this will leave Ditto with 10 HP. If Ditto gets KO'd, you can use Marshadow to go for a revenge KO.

Hydreigon boasts a number of powerful attributes. being a non-ex, single-point Pokemon that can deal high damage and accelerate Energy onto itself.
Being a Stage 2, however comes with the limitation of being difficult to set up and being reliant on multiple turns and finding Rare Candy.
This deck also runs non-ex Absol, whose Leap Over Attack can outright KO Mantyke and Magikarp.

Best Snorlax Decks and Card List
Many solo battles, especially at higher difficulties, will require you to win with a deck where all the Pokemon cards are of ♢,♢♢, and/or ♢♢♢ rarity. This means that you will need to have a solid deck that doesn't rely on ex Pokemon if you hope to obtain the rewards from those missions, and this becomes very difficult at the expert difficulty!
Despite not being an ex card, Pokemon cards with a 1☆ rarity, as well as promo cards, will disqualify you from clearing this mission, so make sure that all of your Pokemon show ♢,♢♢, and/or ♢♢♢, as specifed in the mission text. Note that this only applies to Pokemon, so 1☆ trainer and supporter cards are fine to include!
Solo Battle Guides: All Decks, Battle Tasks and Counters
ex Pokemon yield 2 points when knocked out, speeding up games because you need three points to win games. Using non-ex Pokemon can also be advantageous because of favorable prize trades against decks with ex. This means that they would need to knock out three Pokemon from a non-ex deck, compared to only two when against a deck with ex Pokemon.
You can play against players with no ex Pokemon in their deck by going into Private Match on the Versus Menu, and inputting the password, NOEX. With no ex Pokemon around, some lesser seen Pokemon and strategies can be seen and enjoyed! However, it is worth noting that wins in Private Lobbies will not net you any XP.
