While using Pom-Pom Oricorio to nullify attacks from ex Pokemon, accelerate Lightning Energy to Genetic Apex Magneton with its Ability. Once set up, evolve Magneton to Crimson Blaze Magnezone.
Promote your fully-set up Magnezone to the Active Spot since it will be your main attacker. Magnezone's Mirror Shot will force the opponent to flip a coin whenever they attack. When flipping Tails, the attack does not happen. Taking advantage of this disruption will be key to victory.

This deck makes use of single-point Pokemon and aims to have advantageous point trades against Mega ex Decks.
Heliolisk is a great Pokemon for finishing off damaged Pokemon with its 120 damage Thunderbolt, while Magnezone can put them into Heliolisk's KO range while being disruptive with Mirror Shot.

![]() ![]() • A single copy of Space-Time Smackdown Magnezone gives you a more damaging, but less disruptive option. |

Use Magneton's Volt Charge to accelerate Lightning Energy to itself. Once you have 3 Lightning Energy, evolve it into Magnezone. Do remember that Magneton only has 80 HP and can easily be knocked out, so evolve it right away once you have gotten the Energy it needs.

Magnezone's Mirror Shot has the potential to cancel the opposing Pokemon's next attack. Instead of dealing damage right away, your opponent will be forced to flip a coin, and if it lands on tails, the attack will not land. This gives you longer survivability in battle, and more opportunities to attack.

Most non-ex Fighting-type Pokemon can easily knock out Magnemite and Magneton, and will have no problem taking on Magnezone's teammates, such as Pom-Pom Oricorio.

Use Lucario to boost the damage of your Fighting-type Pokemon. The effect can even stack if you have 2 Lucarios in play. Combining the damage boosts with the Weakness bonus, can help your Fighting Pokemon achieve OHKOs on Magnezone and its teammates easily. If your Pokemon can OHKO Magnezone, you will only need one heads flip in order to knock it out.
