[★ Best ★] |
Strengths:

Frosmoth can put opponents to Sleep with Powder Snow, giving you enough time to set up a Gyarados on the Bench. Misty and Manaphy are also available to accelerate Energy and speed up your set up.
Use Irida to heal your Pokemon when you have to, to help them stay in battle longer.

Misty on turn 1 can swing games heavily in your favor by giving you a huge momentum swing on lucky heads flips. Gyarados fully set up for a Hyper Beam can also win you the game if your opponents can't find a suitable answer in time.
Alternatively, Manaphy is a more consistent Energy accelerator that does not require a coin flip. However, it has a low 50 HP, making it easy to pick off by Pokemon like Skarmory or Carnivine. These two Pokemon can also easily KO Magikarp and Snom.

Gyarados can be dangerous once fully set up, so use a fast Lightning deck like Pikachu ex to inflict critical damage during the early game. The Water-type Pokemon in the deck are all weak to Lightning, and Pikachu ex can be set down right away and uses minimal Energy. It also has Zebstrika, which can attack Magikarp on the Bench—disrupting key set-ups.

Hitmonlee can easily take out Magikarps as soon as they hit the field with Stretch Kick that deals 30.

Gyarados GA with Crawdaunt is a god tier deck in the current meta that NOBODY is talking about, double the energy theft capability of this frosmoth deck. Add in one suicune and a couple mantyke and I get a 70% Winrate against DarkTina decks and the like. Arceus and ultra beast decks also crumble, usually. Buzzwole ex is hit or miss, though. Oricorio and Pikachu Ex decks die too, EASILY, despite the type counter.
