Out of the Ground-type physical attackers, Flygon and Excadrill, Flygon is the quicker choice. Giving it a Choice Scarf even allows you to overtake Dragapult and Noivern's speed, allowing you to overwhelm your opponent by acting first with powerful attacks.
As a special attacker, Flygon works well against Pokemon built to be physical defenders like Corviknight and Toxapex.
Use Fire Blast's Max counterpart when Dynamaxed. Its power increases and removes the lack of accuracy that Fire Blast has.
As Flygon's weaknesses, Ice and Fairy, are weak to Steel-type moves, it's best to bring one along. Pokemon with dual-typing are best as they have a larger move pool and can take on a wider variety of opponents.
Also, since Fairy-type Pokemon are immune to Dragon-type moves, you can safely choose something other than Dragon-type Pokemon.
