• Great flexibility in team building as she can be built either as an on-field carry, off-field Pyro applicator, or both at once. • Extremely high damage scaling that can outperform current Pyro carries with investment. • Easy-to-activate Pyro application found in her Elemental Skill, which is a rarity in the context of current Pyro characters. • Requires no Energy Recharge to be able to use her Elemental Burst. • Exploration with her motorbike combines the strength of most of the Natlan tribes' exploration abilities in one character.
Weaknesses
• Restriction on the conditions of her Elemental Burst makes her reliant on another Natlan character and may struggle without one, as their Nightsoul consumption is the most efficient way to charge up her Elemental Burst. • Her off-field application has less ticks and slightly slower procs than someone like Xiangling.

Two Build Paths as a DPS or Sub-DPS

Mavuika is built as either a Main DPS or a Sub-DPS due to her kit's flexibility to switch from off-field to on-field. Depending on the build path you prefer, Mavuika will use Obsidian Codex for on-field, or Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City if your party doesn't hold one yet.

With that in mind, as Mavuika scales with ATK, she runs the standard ATK Sands, Pyro DMG Goblet, and CRIT Circlet as is the case with most traditional DPS.

As a traditional DPS unit, Mavuika values weapons that increase her personal damage, making great all-rounder weapons that scales with high ATK and CRIT such as her signature weapon, Beacon of the Reed Sea, or Serpent Spine the best.

Other than that, Mavuika can also make use of any Elemental Mastery weapons like Mailed Flower if used for triggering reactions like Melt, or ATK weapons if you are using an Elemental Mastery sands. As Mavuika herself doesn't use energy, avoid Energy Recharge weapons.

Works Best With Other Natlan Characters

Due to her special energy mechanic, Mavuika typically needs another Natlan character in your party to charge up her Fighting Spirit to activate her Elemental Burst, as it needs consumption of Nightsoul points. Units like Xilonen and Citlali are considered the best to have especially for her on-field role.

Other than that, Mavuika also benefits from characters that use Normal Attacks, and this makes her a good secondary DPS in comps with Normal Attack spammers to a lesser extent.

Performs up to 4 consecutive claymore strikes. Charge Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to perform an especially powerful Severing Splendor strike toward the front. Plunge Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Elemental Skill

The Named Moment

Calling upon her authority over "conflict," Mavuika summons the All-Fire Armaments passed down through the line of human Archons, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG. After using this, Mavuika's Nightsoul points are restored to max value, and she enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state. Has different forms when Tapped or Held. Tap Divine Name Unleashed: The All-Fire Armaments manifest as a Ring of Searing Radiance. The Ring follows the current active character and attacks nearby opponents at intervals, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG. Hold "Ancient Name Unbound": Mavuika can ride the Flamestrider to temporarily cross various terrain types and glide in mid-air. Mavuika's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks will also be converted to deal Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG which cannot be overridden. When sprinting, she also deals Pyro DMG to opponents along her path.

Tap Skill Creates a Periodic Pyro Off-Field Attack

Mavuika's Elemental Skill manifests into a Pyro ring that appears on the active character, targetting an enemy and dealing Pyro damage to all enemies in a circle around said target at set intervals.

This can be used as a way to keep up consistent Pyro applications and allow Mavuika to help out even when she is not in the spotlight.

Hold Lets Her Ride Her Bike Convert Her Attacks

When her skill is held, Mavuika rides her Pyro motorcycle and uses it as a weapon to run down opponents with Pyro-infused Nightsoul-aligned Normal and Charged attacks.

This will mainly be used as a way for Mavuika to defeat her opponents as an on-fielder alongside the usage of her Elemental Burst after her allies, Natlan or otherwise, have gone through their rotations.

Can Ride Through Land, Sea, and Air

Mavuika's bike is capable of climbing mountains, crossing seas, and soaring through the air, making it an all-in-one option for mobility that encapsulates most of the Natlan characters' exploration abilities except Kinich's grappling hook.

Mavuika's Elemental Burst is not reliant on Energy, but instead, on "Fighting Spirit." Fighting Spirit When Mavuika has at least 50% Fighting Spirit, she can consume it all to unleash her Elemental Burst. Mavuika can obtain Fighting Spirit via the following methods: · When in combat, Nightsoul points consumed by nearby party members are converted to Fighting Spirit. · When nearby party members' Normal Attacks hit opponents, Mavuika gains 1.5 Fighting Spirit. This can trigger once every 0.1s. After using this, Mavuika gains 10 Nightsoul points and enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state. Riding her Flamestrider high in the air, she uses a powerful Sunfell Slice against opponents on the ground, dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG and entering the "Crucible of Death and Life" state. Crucible of Death and Life During this time, Mavuika's various actions will no longer consume Nightsoul points, and her interruption resistance is increased. Burst that Nukes and Amplifies Her On-Field Attacks

Mavuika's Elemental Burst has her leap into the air with her motorcycle before slamming back down into the ground and striking enemies with a circular slash from her Claymore, then improving her on-field attacks from her Elemental Skill.

This ability is similar to a previous archon who had a similar role, Raiden Shogun.

Needs Fighting Spirit to Charge Her Burst Instead of Traditional Energy

Unlike most characters in the game, her Elemental Burst relies on an energy called Fighting Spirit which is gained by your party members either consuming Nightsoul points or using Normal Attacks.

This form of energy allows her to use her Elemental Burst, and can be used already at 50%.

Increases DMG Based On Elemental Burst Charge

The Elemental Burst also improves the damage of both the initial Burst cast and Mavuika's On-Field attacks depending on how much Fighting Energy Mavuika has at the time of casting.

This means that even if her Burst can already be used at 50%, it's recommended to have a full Fighting Spirit before using your Elemental Burst.

No Nightsoul Point Consumption

The first effect done by her Elemental Burst is by halting any Nightsoul Point consumption from Mavuika, allowing her to retain her Nightsoul's Blessing state for the duration of her Elemental Burst.

When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Mavuika's ATK increases by 30% for 10s.

After using her Elemental Burst, Hour of Burning Skies, every point of Fighting Spirit present when it is used increases the DMG that the current active party member deals by 0.2%. The maximum increase obtainable this way is 40%, and this effect lasts 20s, decaying over this duration until it reaches 0.

Bonus DMG After Elemental Burst Based on Her Fighting Spirit

After using her Elemental Burst, Mavuika is able to increase the On-Field character's DMG dealt based on her accumulated Fighting Spirit. For the off-field role, she can use her Elemental Burst and switch out immediately to your main carryu so that the bonus applies.

It also provides the straightforward benefit of augmenting Mavuika's own DMG, further supporting her Main DPS playstyle.

Night Realm's Gift: Exhaust Mode

After Nightsoul points have been fully depleted, Mavuika will switch to using Phlogiston to maintain the All-Fire Armaments' Flamestrider form. While in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, Nightsoul Transmission: Mavuika can be used. When the current active character is sprinting, climbing, swimming, in movement modes caused by certain Talents, or at a certain height in the air, switching to Mavuika will trigger the following: enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state and obtains 50% of her maximum Nightsoul points. Nightsoul Transmission can be triggered once every 10s by your party.

In the Version 5.0 Livestream, it was revealed that Mavuika is Natlan's current Pyro Archon, and is shown hosting Natlan's various war games, as well as preparing to face off against Capitano, one of the Fatui Harbingers.

Mavuika had been speculated as the Pyro Archon even before the reveal due to her appearance, stature, and overall design resembling something that could be considered Archon-like.

If the Pilgrimage was a tree, and I was a vulture on the highest branch, then the Pyro Archon would be the sun in the sky... The stronger you get, the more you appreciate the sheer size of the gulf between you and her. I just won a few championships — she's the champion of an entire era. But at least being on top with a clear view of the sky means I can see exactly how high I want to fly from here.
Citlali	Heh, Mavuika... ahem I mean, the Archon came to talk to me the other day. It wasn't until I was eating snacks in the middle of the night that I realized she was basically bragging the whole time! There's an ancient saying from another land that goes, “Saints are humble until you ask them about their duty - that's when their pride stands tall.” I think that fits her perfectly.
Kachina	About the Pyro Archon I never could have dreamed that the Pyro Archon herself would one day call me a hero of Natlan... She's the idol of every warrior in our land, so being recognized by her is like... (sniffle) I just get overwhelmed every time I think about it, sorry... (sniffle) Sorry, sorry! I shouldn't have started crying...
Kinich	For most of my life, I've been getting others to pay a price. Then, the Pyro Archon used the Ode of Resurrection to bring me back from the Night Kingdom, and suddenly I was the one paying the price... Only then did I finally understand it from both sides. To the stronger party, the "price" is a bargaining chip, and to the weaker party, it's a sign of what's at stake. What matters is whether you have the courage to make the gamble.
Mualani	The Pyro Archon is the most respected figure in all of Natlan. I really admire her, not only because she's the Pyro Archon, but because... she looks super cool when she surfs! I've challenged her to a race before, actually... huh? You wanna know who was faster? In that case, let's race, and I'll tell you once you beat me!
Ororon	I didn't really know the Pyro Archon before all this. I mean, I knew of her, but I didn't KNOW know her, you know? I used to think of her like a totem engraved with the word "strength," like a symbol of total power and control. But, it never went deeper than that, so doubt started to creep in. Now that I know her better, I feel grateful, but I'm also a little disappointed in myself... She seems so sure of her purpose. She has a fire inside her and knows exactly why it burns, so she won't ever let the flames go out. I want that... I want to be someone who can help Natlan. Anyway, so there's that, and um... I also noticed her eating a lot of leafy vegetables at the victory feast. When I asked her about it, she said she likes to keep a balanced diet. Kinda surprised me somehow. I guess she's more mindful of the little things than I expected.
Xilonen	Mavuika has approached me with quite a few ridiculous commissions. For example, she wanted me to make her a heat-resistant sword that could withstand her flames and wouldn't melt in her hands. Oh yeah, she also asked me if I could make her a special pair of sunglasses that would let her better see enemies through the flames in combat... But the most bizarre request was that bike of hers... At the time, she would keep coming to the workshop to talk about it and insist that I make her a phlogiston-powered vehicle. She even shoved a bunch of design schematics in front of me, and yeah, who even knows where she got those... I eventually couldn't take it anymore and gave in. It took me three whole months to complete it. I heard she's been driving it through the Natlan wilderness and that no one can stop her... So yeah... Compared to all of that, I'd say forging an Ancient Name for an outlander is really a relatively reasonable task.

Chasca	About Chasca Being able to survive under the influence of Abyssal corrosion was already a miracle, but thanks to the people and Saurians of this land, she even found a reason not just to survive, but to live. I have every faith in her fortitude, but I will still do what I can to make this land a “gentler” place - even the strongest among us need a break sometimes.
Citlali	About Citlali Many people find her strange or difficult to get along with. But, this is how I see it - Citlali doesn't concern herself with trivial matters, but she's always there when it counts. I'm sure you've seen that for yourself. She's someone who can easily tunnel vision and get herself embroiled in trouble, so I try to keep certain things from her. But, she can see right through me... She's too sharp.
Iansan	About Iansan Being Targeted: A lot of people underestimated lansan during her first few Pilgrimages after receiving her Ancient Name, and singled her out during the team stage as an easy target. Even though she never lost, the constant challengers drained her stamina and affected her ranking, which only made people more likely to target her... Proving Yourself: My advice to her was this - people are less likely to mess with someone whose strength is undeniable, so all she needed to do was to prove it. Well, she decided to do just that... by challenging me in the arena, hahaha. Yeah, I definitely didn't see that coming! In the end, she put up quite the fight, and no one underestimated her again..
Ifa	About Ifa The truly great doctors often possess vast medical knowledge as well as great communication skills. And, when the patient and the doctor do not speak the same language, observation and empathy become even more important. That's why Ifa can make friends with just about anyone. Suffice it to say, if someone is on bad terms with Ifa - human or saurian - I doubt the problem lies with him, haha.
Kachina	About Kachina After you rescued Kachina from the Night Kingdom, I visited her family with Chief Pacal, and brought a few gifts to once again apologize for what happened. Kachina's time in the Night Kingdom left her with many scars she will have to carry into the future-scars she should never have had to bear... And for that, the fault is mine.
Kinich	About Kinich In addition to the Turnfire, Malipo has another meaning, “cost” or “price.” It may seem less overtly heroic compared to the other Ancient Names, but in truth, Malipo teaches us to be calm and analytical-to ask the questions people may not want to hear. Without people who possess these qualities, it's just too easy for the rest of us to act on impulse and emotion, and make decisions we'll come to regret.
Mualani	About Mualani In terms of personality, Mualani and Tupac are completely different, and yet both inherited the name, Umoja. Unity lies not in a particular action, but in a state of mind - a willingness to give your all for your nation, family and friends. But, I doubt Mualani was thinking about any of that back then. She knew one thing to be true - that Kachina's life was worth any risk to her own.
Ororon	About Ororon In my opinion, Ororon's true personality is very different from what he projects on the outside-like lava covered in ice. His tribe and his friends bring him peace, but his drive to protect them and his need to become a hero leave him restless. It's inadvisable to act on impulse, but these are precious qualities all the same.
Varesa	About Varesa During the Pilgrimage, I cover all the expenses at the Weary Inn, and without fail, there's always an order for a party tray for eighty. I used to assume it was someone ordering for a large group of friends, but as it turns out... Varesa ordered it all for herself.
Xilonen	About Xilonen Xilonen is one of the best craftsmen in Natlan. She has the ability to forge Ancient Names and is well-versed in Secret Source technology. Not to mention, she never backs away from a challenge, even when it's completely uncharted territory. The process isn't without twists and turns - like design changes and other modifications - but the results speak for themselves.
