How to Solve Safhe Shatranj Chess Puzzle

Collect 5 Chess Puzzle Pieces

To solve the Safhe Shatranj Chess Puzzle you'll need to collect a total of 5 Chess Pieces scattered throughout the Sumeru Desert and install them into their corresponding chess board locations.

You can get all 5 pieces from doing the Dirge of Bilqis and Tadhla the Falcon World Quests.

All Chess Piece Locations and How to Use

Chess Piece Locations

	All Chess Piece Locations
Border Fort	You can get the Border Fort chess piece during the Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part 1, after defeating a Consecrated Scorpion.
King Deshret's Pillar	Once you've obtained the Liloupar gadget during The Temple Where Sand Flows Like Tears quest, go back to Liloupar's Cell and head towards the base of the tree. The King Deshret's chess piece is inside the Exquisite Chest.
Temple of Gurabad	Get the Temple of Gurabad chess piece during The Falcon Hunt quest, inside the small cavern where you've obtained another of Liloupar's fragment. The chess piece is inside an Exquisite Chest.
Khaj-Nisut	Get the Khaj-Nisut chess piece during the Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part 3, inside the left arm of the Giant Robot at Wounded Shin Valley.
Soulferry	The Soulferry chess piece is inside the room which you can open after connecting the junctions and opening the Ancient Gate. You can go to this location during the Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part 2.

Collect 7 Chess Piece Activation Devices

Chess Piece Activation Devices are used to trigger the chess pieces in the Safhe Shatranj Chess board. Doing so will enable the teleporation function of each chesspiece to its corresponding location in the Sumeru Desert.

You'll need to have finished the Apocalypse Lost World Quest first, to complete collecting all 7 Activation Devices.

Activation Device Locations

	All 7 Chess Piece Activation Devices
Border Fort Device	The Border Fort Activation Device is located just a couple of steps away from the Aaru Village Chief's house.
Khaj-Nisut Device	Teleport to the waypoint in Khaj-Nisut and use the Four-leaf sigils to easily go to entrance of temple. The Khaj-Nisut Activation Device is right in front of the temple's entrance.
Soulferry Device	Go to Khemenu Temple using the nearby Teleport Waypoint, then take a sharp turn to your left. Going forward should lead you to the Soulferry Activation Device.
Mausoleum Device	Teleport to the Mausoleum of King Deshret and walk a little towards the entrance. You will spot the Mausoleum of King Deshret's Activation Device floating just in front of the temple's entrance.
King Deshret's Pillar Device	Use the underground waypoint north of the Mausoleum of King Deshret. Use the Four-leaf sigils to easily go to the other side and head towards the entrance of Opet Hall. King Deshret's Pillar Activation Device is just in front of it.
Temple of Gurabad Device	The Temple of Gurabad Activation Device is located in front of the temple in Safhe Shatranj, the temple entrance right above the giant chess board.
Glass Goblet Device	The Deshret's Glass Goblet Activation Device is a couple of steps away from the hidden waypoint on the platform where you fought Ferigees.

Trigger Each Chess Piece

After collecting all the 7 Chess Piece Activation Devices, you can use them to trigger their corresponding chess piece to activate their Teleportation Function. You will also get one Remarkable Chest, which gives you a total of 7 Remarkable Chest for each triggered chess piece!
