You can get all 5 pieces from doing the Dirge of Bilqis and Tadhla the Falcon World Quests.

Chess Piece Activation Devices are used to trigger the chess pieces in the Safhe Shatranj Chess board. Doing so will enable the teleporation function of each chesspiece to its corresponding location in the Sumeru Desert.

You'll need to have finished the Apocalypse Lost World Quest first, to complete collecting all 7 Activation Devices.

Teleport to the waypoint in Khaj-Nisut and use the Four-leaf sigils to easily go to entrance of temple. The Khaj-Nisut Activation Device is right in front of the temple's entrance.

Go to Khemenu Temple using the nearby Teleport Waypoint, then take a sharp turn to your left. Going forward should lead you to the Soulferry Activation Device.

Teleport to the Mausoleum of King Deshret and walk a little towards the entrance. You will spot the Mausoleum of King Deshret's Activation Device floating just in front of the temple's entrance.

Found out! It's so confusing, but you have to complete ALL of Tad's quests, there are three, adjust your in-game time for the last one to unlock Gurabad's quest, and then defeat all the constructs to get the Apocolypse quest!
