Adventurer Handbook Description |
---|
Various bizarrely-shaped machines that have taken different forms and functions as an adaption to different goals. Legend has it that they were war machines left behind by a nation that has now been destroyed. Leaving its hard armor and powerful abilities aside, some believe that the design of these ruin machines has greater value in the study of biomimesis than the more common Ruin Guards. |
Fighting the Boss enemy, the Perpetual Mechanical Array, involves a phase making use of several Ruin Sentinels, including the Ruin Destroyer.

Ruin Sentinels are usually grouped in twos or more, making it harder to dodge all their attacks. Having a shield would make defeating these monsters easier, although it is not as necessary when facing a lone Ruin Sentinel.
Hitting its weakpoint will also knock it down for some time, making it vulnerable.
Ruin Destroyers can shoot projectiles from its head in a slight arc. The projectiles move at a moderate speed and can be easily dodged.
Ruin Destroyers will shoot a laser towards the ground and generate a large AoE where they will continue to deal damage for several seconds.
You can attack the Ruin Destroyers themselves while in this state as long as you avoid standing in its AoE.
Ruin Destroyers can dig into the ground and emerge in a four-petaled form that spreads out on the ground. The area surrounding it will then be affected by a vacuum.
Avoid getting caught in this vacuum, for the Ruin Destroyer will then burst and deal AoE damage to any character close to it.
