Complete the Natlan! A New Adventure Quest

To unlock Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame, you must have completed the previous subquest of Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn, Natlan! A New Adventure!

Look for Kachina and Mualani (Optional)

Before you change the date for the main objective, you can follow the optional objective first to see Mualani and Kachina practicing for the tournament. They can be found under the bridge just outside the Stadium.

Wait Till 08:00 – 10:00 the Next Day

Now, you must wait until morning the next day (08:00 - 10:00) to start the Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame Quest. You can easily do this by changing the time from the main menu.

Meet Up with Kachina and the Others

After resting, meet up with the others back at the Weary Inn. Your allies will then head into the arena, and you can also go to the stands where you can cheer your friends on by talking to Lamanai.

Collect Contending Sparks

The first phase of the Pilgrimage will have you take control of Kachina and Mualani. Just follow the quest markers and defeat all the nearby enemies. Contending Sparks can be obtained after defeating all nearby enemies and interacting with the torch.

Return to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame

Once you collect all three Contending Sparks, you will be directed to use Mualani to surf the Spiritways. Bring your Contending Sparks to the torch in front of the stadium to light the Sacred Flame.

Prepare for the Individual Matches

Finish the scene with the losers then move up to the combat portion of the tournament. Feel free to prep by eating food and Potions before the match to make the upcoming fights a bit easier.

Finish the Duel with Nkunga

Your first fight is with Nkunga. Just spam Turbo Twirly's (Kachina's elemental skill) slam attack until she's out of Nightsoul Points then go back to using her polearm when it's on cooldown.

Finish the Duel with Liliuo

Use the same strategy with Nkunga during the first phase. When Liliuo heads up to the pillars and rain down ice on you, use Turbo Twirly to climb up the pillars and break the crystal to bring Liliuo back down.

When Liliuo's close to defeat, she will raise an ice block in the center and rain shards again. Climb to the top with Turbo Twirly and break Liliuo's stance to win the fight.

Finish the Duel with Mualani

The final fight is against Mualani, this fight will play out in a cutscene so just sit back and watch Kachina valiantly fight her way to victory!

After the closing ceremony, both Kinich and Mualani will invite you to come and visit their respective tribes, which marks the end of this quest.
