Break Shields with Geo in Phase 1
The Trial of Thorns phase of Stage 1 requires breaking the Geo Shields of Praetorian Golems, which means having reliable Geo applicators such as Navia and Kachina are a must!
Break 10 Praetorian Golem Shields within the time limit to get all of the buffs for the second phase of the stage.
Trigger Dendro Reactions in Phase 2
All of the buffs you obtain for the Canticle of Crowns phase gear towards increasing Dendro DMG and Dendro Elemental Reactions.
Defeat enemies with your strongest Quicken, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, or Burning team to get as many points as possible!

Trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeons in Phase 1
The second Trial of Thorns requires you to trigger as much Hyperbloom or Burgeon reactions as possible. To trigger these reactions, create Dendro cores with Bloom by applying Hydro and Dendro, then hit those Bloom cores with either an Electro or Pyro attack.
Trigger 50 Hyperbloom or Burgeon reactions to get the full buffs for the second phase of the stage.
Trigger Swirl Reactions with Hydro or Cryo Units in Phase 2
Initial buffs in the Canticle of Crowns side prefers teams with an Anemo character who can Swirl opponents reliably to reduce their DEF. As the final buff prefers Hydro or Cryo party members, having Hydro or Cryo DPS carries supported by an off-field Anemo is the way to go.

Break the Shield with Burning or Burgeon in Phase 1
For Stage 3's Trial of Thorns, you have to break the Wayob's shield 4 times in 60 seconds, which means triggering Burning and Burgeon as much as possible. Set up your support's Elemental Burst right before starting the challenge to avoid the Wayob stealing your burst energy!
Use As Much Elemental Burst DMG As Possible in Phase 2
In the Canticle of Crowns phase, all of the buffs you obtain is geared towards Elemental Burst DMG, so choose your teams with the strongest and most frequent Elemental Bursts to defeat as many enemies as possible.

Run Through the Enemies in Phase 1
Stage 4's Trial of Thorns features a gimmick challenge where you must kill 100 opponents, but you are accompanied by a continuous Electro aura that kills any enemy you touch.
Use Mualani, Lynette, and any other team member's movement ability and zoom past your enemies to build up points!
Focus on the Key Opponents in Phase 2
In the Canticle of Crowns phase, there is a large elite mob each wave, which is designated as a key opponent.
Killing this enemy immediately kills all other surrounding enemies, so make sure to center all your damage rotations around this opponent, as killing them ensures that you move onto the next wave faster.

Swirl Endlessly in Phase 1
Stage 5's Trial of Thorns requires you to break 30 Abyss Mage Elemental Shields, which can be done easily using the trial Anemo characters and other Anemo units.
Use your Anemo units AoE elemental attacks to continuously swirl the surrounding elements around them to ensure that you can shred through the shields quickly.
Vaporize and Melt Often in Phase 2
In the Canticle of Crowns phase, Vaporize and Melt receive significant damage bonuses, as well as summoning a vortex to group enemies together if triggered often enough.
With that said, maintain a steady rotation of Vaporize and Melt in order to keep up the vortex effect and force enemies into your lethal range.

What is the Of Thorns and Crowns Event?
Of Thorns and Crowns is a new combat event in Version 5.0 where you must complete two phases of combat with two teams.
Complete the first phase objective to get buffs for the second phase, where you eliminate as many enemies as possible within the time limit to earn a high score and receive rewards!
How to Play Of Thorns and Crowns
Divided into Two Combat Modes
During the event, each stage includes two rounds of combat: Trial of Thorns and Canticle of Crowns. You'll need to prepare separate teams for each round. You can also choose the difficulty level when selecting the stage.
Perform Challenge Objectives in Trial of Thorns
In the Trial of Thorns, you must perform the specified challenge objectives to build up Trial Progress. The better you perform in the Trial of Thorns, the more buffs you'll unlock for the Canticle of Crowns!
Use Special Buffs to Defeat Foes in Canticle of Crowns
In Canticle of Crowns, you must defeat as many enemies as possible within the time restriction using the special buffs you obtained from the Trial of Thorns. The more enemies you defeat, the more points you get!

Anonymous about 1 yearWhy would you recommend Kokomi for Trial of Thorns: Accumulate? The Canticle buffs grant CRIT, but Kokomi's kit cannot crit. She even has a negative crit rate in her stats? And since she cannot crit even the crit damage buff does no good. Wouldn't another hydro unit that doesn't have this limitation be a better fit for this trial?
