Khvarena is the main source of power for all the exploration mechanic in the Girdle of the Sands desert. You will have to progress the Khvarena of Good and Evil quest chain to access most of the puzzles, so be sure to do this first before exploring the new area!

Farrwicks

Use the Power of Khvarena to Destroy Gray Crystals

Khvarena can destroy the Grey Crystals, which block entrances or hide enemies underneath its purplish rocks. Free or touch the green Khvarena fairies from rocks and follow them until it destroys the crystals!

Open Defiled Chambers

During the quest in the Khvarena of Good and Evil Quest Chain, "The Hymn of Tir Yazad" Quest, you will need to clear multiple defiled chambers in order to get to Harvisptokhm with the help of Khvarena.

Portable Way to Clear Out Gray Crystals

Farrwicks hold the power of Khvarena, which means you can also use them to clear out Gray Crystals. You can also reposition Farrwicks after picking them up to solve puzzles in the Sumeru Desert!

Turn The Player Into a Mayfly

Along with Seelies, these beings can turn the player into a Mayfly in order to help them chase the Seelie and lead them to more treasure.

Sorush and Other Pari

Cleanse the Purple Mist

1	Use Sorush's ability to the thorny branch to release the purple defilement.
2	Collect Nirodha Fruits with Sorush's Skill.
3	Disperse all purple blobs in the swamp with Sorush's Burst-Equivalent to cleanse the mist.

Combined with Sorush's abilities, you will need to cleanse the thorny branches first to trigger a time-trial challenge for cleansing the Purple Mist, which will spawn multiple purple blobs.

These purple blobs can be destroyed with Nirodha Fruits. Collect Nirodha Fruits first with Sorush to enter the gadget's bombardment mode, then fire away until all blobs have been dispersed!

Destroy Orange Crystals

Nirodha Fruits can be used by Sorush to destroy orange crystals in the Girdle of the Sands that contain various items such as Treasure Chests.

Free Khvarena inside Burgeoning Spirits

Use Sorush's interact skill to loosen the grip of Burgeoning Spirits and free the Khvarena inside.

Take note that some Burgeoning Spirits are lined with Gray Crystals, which means you need the Power of Khavarena from Farrwicks to clear them out first to loosen their grip!

Plume of Purifying Light

Some of the Plumes of Purifying Light are obtained by completing Pale Fire quests, which requires you to awaken Residual Pari in Fravashi Trees and complete their quests. This can only be done with Sorush's powers!

Transform Rueblight Bloom

Sorush can use her Pari powers to make Ruebright Blooms transform into platforms, and reveal the Four-leaf Sigil inside them. You can use these sigils to easily move around terrains!

Create Lightcall Paths

Use Sorush's Interact skill to command the orbs of light and have them transform into Lightcall Paths. You can then traverse from one location to another using the paths Sorush created!

Create Shields Using Coalesced Khvarena

Use Sorush's Interact skill to activate the floating green orbs scattered throughout the map. Once activated, it will summon a barrier that will deflect incoming damage.

Collect the Great Songs of Khvarena

In order to complete the fifth quest in the Khvarena of Good and Evil Quest Chain, "As the Khvarena's Light Shows " Quest, Sorush will gain the Twin-Horned Chaplet.

This allows her to pass through the barrier created by the Songs of Khvarena. Press the Skill Button in order to collect all the songs!

Defiled Becons are a manifestation created by the Abyssal Energies that have accumulated in the Defiled Chambers. Using the power of Khvarena, Sorush can purify them.
