As you get close, the activation device will begin to move. Follow it until it gets close to the entrance to Khaj-Nisut, then pick it up.

Return to Safhe Shatranj

Teleport back to Safhe Shatranj, where you arranged the chess pieces, and find the chess piece that resembles the Khaj-Nisut. That is the Khaj-Nisut Chess Piece, and it is the matching pair with this activation device!

Install the Activation Device

Genshin - Chess piece
Install the activation device to the chess piece. Once installed, it will reward you with a remarkable chest and give you the ability to teleport back to the entrance to Khaj-Nisut.
Installing all 7 activation devices on the pieces unlocks the La Luna Rossa achievement.
