The Paleontological Investigation in The Chasm is part of the Investigation in The Chasm quest series commissioned by Khedive in The Chasm: Underground Mines. You can find Khedive in the camp around The Glowing Narrows.
How to Enter The Chasm Underground Mines
You notice some rocks with some peculiar markings on them. It's better to take a few pictures. Perhaps someone might know what these are...

| 1 |  Take a picture of one of the fossils in The Chasm: Underground Mines. |
| 2 |  Talk to Khedive in the camp to show him a picture. |
| 3 | Take a picture of the rest of the fossils around the Underground Mines, there will be a total of five. Once you collected all photos, give them to Khedive to complete the quest! |
After completing all of the three Investigation in The Chasm quests commissioned by Khedive, he will give you an Academia Recommendation Letter that will likely be used in the region of Sumeru.
