You can collect two Medals of Recognition during the Date's Challenge quest. You can get the first one by unlocking the Evernight Temple Maze and beginning the quest.
Evernight Temple Maze Walkthrough Summary
| Maze Walkthrough Summary | |

| 1 | Teleport to the waypoint right beside the Evernight Temple Maze. |
| 2 | Glide down to a ledge with one Day-Night Mechanism and two Triangular Mechanisms. |
| 3 | Switch to Whitenight using the Day-Night Mechanism. This will activate the two Triangular Mechanisms. |
| 4 | One Triangular Mechanism moves the outer walls of the maze, while the other one moves the inner walls of the maze. If you haven't touched these mechanisms before, you just have to hit each Triangular Mechanism once. |
| 5 | Switch to Evernight using the Day-Night mechanism. This will activate the Hydro Monuments inside the maze. |
| 6 | Go into the maze and activate all the Hydro Monuments. Their locations are marked by glowing spots. |
| 7 | The hatch in the middle of the labyrinth will open after activating all Hydro Monuments. Drop down into the hatch and open the Luxurious Chest inside! This will contain Date's Key and activate ''Date's Challenge.'' |

The Serpent's Heart Puzzle is locked by a cube mechanism. You need Date's Key to open the hatch that leads to the underground room.

| 1 | Switch to Whitenight to activate Triangular Mechanisms 1 and 2. |
| 2 | Use Switch 1 to open the north gate. |
| 3 | Use Switch 2 to open the south gate. |
| 4 | Attack Triangular Mechanism 1 two times, until the wall can't move any farther. |
| 5 | Use Switch 1 to close the north gate. |
| 6 | Attack Triangular Mechanism 2 two times, until the wall can't move any farther. |
| 7 | Use Switch 2 to close the south gate. |
| 8 | Use Triangular Mechanism 1 one time to get the correct layout. |
| 9 | Switch back to the Evernight state. |
| 10 | Open the Luxurious Chest and get Date's other Medal of Recognition! |
