Maybe the real history goes like, Ei stages a successful coup detat due to Makoto's worsening mental health🥹 After that Ei plastic surgery her twin(hence fischl's covered face), ousted poor thing out of Inazuma (hence instant turn to stricter rules), then keep acting like she never existed as"Baal"! Thus no one in whole Teyvat knows there were two twin, except Yae who was major accomplice of Ei during take over!

Personally my logic on this is pretty simple. Its better for Raiden be a highly useful off-field reaction trigger than left behind like so many other old characters I liked (I still miss using my Eula). This is the first time my Raiden feels really important to my team since her old team was replaced by Neuvillete back in Fontaine. For once she's not just a sub-dps where swapping Raiden out for Fischel would barely matter. Honestly I had assumed she would never be this useful again.
I didn't expect Raiden mains to be happy with her best team being Hyperbloom again, but welp good for y'all
Soon the Ei's of the world will be back to their good ol' destructive ways as part of Lauma teams! Though I will need to set up an EM build for her...

I also think Raiden should have apologized to Inazuma's people and maybe stepped down from the throne. (And please don't start with the Ei/Shogun ramble again... the people don't even know there are two of them!)
What I get from this is that we will see what we want to see. If you like a character you view their actions as just, if you dislike them you view their actions as villainous. I believe both our views are valid and its all up to personal interpretation.
as for Mavuika, she is the model of a mentor, lieder archon. It's not because she is the best, it's because this model suited the best for her nation. So she was the one fighting in the end as the image of idealized lieder. The idea of it was good, but the characters of Natlan are mediocre, plain and kitschy. They drink and eat together more than any national characters did, but still don't look like a family or soulmates. Just bad character decisions and designs combined.
Ei is delicate and cute when we meet her in person but in her story she is shown as a warrior who doesn't understand people. Why making a doll like herself than? Her doll was strict as a stick, she doesn't listen, she killed those who had the wrong opinion. What Ei did was breaking the will of her people by mighty doll. Ei's role was to become a problem for her people. Yes, she realised her mistakes later, but why? Why it needs her years watching people traumatized the same way she did?
you are wrong. Each archon did play their part due the peculiarity of the region. Venti lost his powers protecting people before so he asked for mc help, and remember, that he gave his people freedom from himself too, he is one of them. Zhongli prepared people to defend themselves when he won't be with them anymore cause the time is changing. Nahida look after them as a mother, not able to help. Furina is also a different role model, her life in lie was her sole task, and she played well
Hoyo won't buff Raiden whether people buy her or not, they will just throw her in the Chronicled bin with the other unpopular units if sales fall off.
And yet they just can't stop rerunning her... Sadly, simps continue to whale for Raiden non-stop, so HoYo has no incentive to buff her.
It's actually tragic how her kit has aged for an Archon, especially considering that C2 is her benchmark. I don't know how they plan on selling her going forward, especially with all these zero energy characters and Stygian Onslaught. A C0 Raiden would just be released as a niche 4 star nowadays lol Devs will definitely have to cook at some point, especially because they can't toss her on a Chronicled banner and move on.
