and yes proto amber is basically a craftable f2p version of his signature. it helps with er. he can also use favonius codex reliably to act as the team healer and battery since he is not a negative crit rate character he can activate favonius weapon passive.
do you die from the slight heal delay genuine question? 🤔 the moment his heal from his skill reaches you, it heals you from red hp bar to almost full hp. and its teamwide heal and off-field, he is the best counter to corrosion mechanic so far. - no circle, so his heal follows you around so youre not forced to stay in one area to get your hp back. if you need aoe dendro, use aoe dendro instead like nahida or dendro mc. - he and nahida are reliable deepwood users.
I would say the ONLY part I disagree is the last one. My answer is yes, he is one of the best in slot for Deepwod and Proto Amber, because in general, if you are a catalyst healer with HP scaling, Proto Amber is just the comfiest and the cheapest best choice aside from Favonius Codex.
Apologies, but some counter points. -His healing ticks tho substantial, are often slower. -Does Not give a general EM buff, It's a Dendro reaction buff based on HP. -No circle, no AOE. -Both Deepwood and Amber are great bits of kit, but is he really best in slot with them on? Who are you addressing? If you need me to make my point more clearly: A multi role like Nahida - SS. While the single role Baizhu - S. Honistly, I'm not sure how you find it all logicly inconsistent?
baizhu - has the biggest heal per tick, both skill and burst heal. - has thin shield but good enough to prevent one shot. - gives em buff, dendro teams like it and neuvillette like it as well when fighting pyro enemies. vape numbers go higher thanks to em buff. - not circle impact so more freedom to move around in battle. - reliable deepwood user to decrease dendro res cuz his skill has short cd. - has f2p weapon: proto amber that helps his er issue and team er as well.
2nd half favors teams that have electro character after all.
2 of her teams made it top 3. nahida is still up there.
i mean abyss has been cruel to melee teams lately. enemies hit too hard your onfieder always has hard time. her popular teams are with alhaitham and sometimes nilou they are both melee units. but tighnari spread still going strong his team is ranged ✌️
his role is a mix of zhongli and koko. ideally he will not be used as NA driver like zhongli. even in koko's meta teams you dont use her NA 😂
he is SS support we all know it. your argument is inconsistent. its like judging and concluding nahida is trash because she cant provide shield or massive heal.
Hey, I don't disagree with the S rank. It's just we seem to have had a couple of comments lately that surgested Baizhu can be used in a similar ele driver role as Kokomi, and frankly, he can't. Dispite my view that he's inconsistent I must admit I find him very comfortable to use in a healing role, and if you have a team that fits him he's great, but in the end, the point I want to make is that he's an S tier support. Not a SS multi role. 🙏
His NA driver capability isn't that much of a big deal because most of the time you are the one getting close to enemies anyway. Healing delay shouldn't be a problem, this is based on a lot Baizhu videos I have seen, after you cast E before burst most of the time the healing arrive just at the exact time Baizhu is done casting his burst. His tier is just fine, he is a solid healer with flaw that's all.

baizhu is like reverse c6 zhongli
the delay isnt even that long. you shouldnt die during the miniscule delay. the shield is just a nice touch to prevent one shot and helps with resistance to interruption, he is still mostly a healer. his teamwide heal is excellent. his NA shouldnt even be judged he is not dps. teams that need off field dendro application has nahida to do that.
In my view, Baizhu isn't higher on the list is because his kit has interesting mechanics. His heal, tho team wide and effective. Does have a delay from activation to application. His shield 'pops' giving the active character healing but inconsistent up time against stagger. And although his normal attacks apply Dendro, the range is tiny. He works well with Furina, and in my bloom teams, even on occasion as a Dendro driver. But doesn't always seem consistent. 🤔
he got even better in fontaine 🤔 more enemies are starting to hurt your team really bad that his heal becomes more appreciated. all his weaknesses arent that big of a deal either.
or is it cuz he is not an archon?
i still dont get it why they only put him in S? his heal is that bad?
