First and foremost, Nilou is a great character, offering cheap and easy build that provides great amount of damage. The reason why she is not S-tier, based on my own assumption, is probably the same as most bloom team: diminishing return and low damage ceiling. Currently her bloom team hit the max potential way too early to the point it can't go any higher. The ONLY way to make it higher is through C2 Nahida. Altho the advantage is that Nilou's best team is extremely low investment
While her teams great, the reason she's not higher in tier is that outside of her skill activating a unique bloom reaction for the team. Her personal DPS and Hydro application isn't huge, and her ult isn't a effective Nuke. So the aim is to swap in Xingqiu and Nahida to generate as meny reactions as fast as possible. Then Kokomi or Baizhu to keep up the reactions while preventing the teams self destruct. As the rest of the teams doing the bulk of the work, she's not top tier. 😅
their heal follows you with good enough application while allowing you to bring another hydros with better hydro application and can crit to contribute to better team dps.
this is why baizhu and kuki >>> kokomi.
you forgot her team is mid against boss
Her bloom has 2 weakness -Totally useless against Cryo shield (baptist, heralds) -Has to use XQ/Yelan/Furina variants if facing against Dendro immunity enemies
Nilou should have been placed SS instead of S. From my experience, using Nilou is easy mode. Not seeing her full potential and placing her S was a mistake. I know she is best in only hydro and dendro team but still...
The difference is that Kokomi's AoE hydro app from skill can be recasted/extended via burst making the duration significantly longer and not to mention it provides heal as well. The caveat is that it is circle impact but Hydro app is still Hydro app. Baizhu on the other hand has no need for circle impact in heal, his healing is mobile, doesn't take much time but it has limited, smaller, and slower Dendro app.
even nilou and ayato has aoe off field hydro application.
benched my c3 jean so fast after i got baizhu. not familiar with yaoyao but i heard she wants you to play her onfield for the big teamwide heal? i also dont like managing koko's long stationary jellyfish.. that thing even has long cd. sounds like this thrifty mona simp just dont want to play male healer lol
damn i wonder how bad can someone be to die with baizhu lol? i dont usually say this but L take+ skill issue

I think in this website's tier list, him not entering SS-tier is not for his healing but more like his Dendro app. I mean he is just very close to SS-tier, he is an upper S-tier just one short step below Kokomi, and I think it's bcs Kokomi off-field heal+AoE Hydro app. He does have an advantage tho that all of his heals not taking that much on-field time and not a circle impact thingy. They need to "even" things out by making his Dendro app limited, to open space for future unit.

"because it 'will' so long" . . - imo, baizhu entered SS in recent patch because meta condition. if nahi has teamwide em buff and multi role purpose because of her 'very' strong dendro aura, baizhu has similar role with dendro chars in general, but with complete team covering support. after fontaine release (specially after furi become playable), teamwide healers or high ticks healers usage was increased (imo), and one of them is baizhu. bcz of that, baizhu can entered SS room
i just interested with baizhu-thing meta right now because ur argument: - circle impact aoe was based on circle area. if circle they meant was bennett's circle, well, his circle was also not aoe - his healing ticks are combined with mini shield, and he has teamwide heal - proto/deepwood thing was answered by another person in this section - (next section for comparing baizhu and nahi, because it was so long...)

Also i use xiangling in his team, so widsith passive actually useful. I get 180k every other tick on his charge attack.
I use widsith with HP%, hydro damage bonus, and hp%. It gives better damage.
Genuine answer, at first. Yes. As the delay is different to Jean/Kokomi/Yaoyao. I'd have characters swap in too soon, or need to adjust my rotation. Now I'm familiar with his tempo its easyer to adjust for it. Thats fair, I guess ive still got a mindset that proto amber is best used on other catalyst users to give the team just a little healing, as before it was easy to have too much healing, going to waste. Now the new meta involves overhealing, I will need to re-assess it.
