I suspect Mihoyo did that on purpose to get people to go for Lauma's C1 which gives her healing.

Needing a sustain in this baby easy game is skill issue on your end
So many of these teams have no sustains
Lauma and Nefer have great synergy. Nefer is the main dps on the team with Lauma as her go to support. Lauma is pretty much required for a good Nefer team. However, Lauma can also work well in teams without Nefer meaning Lauma is useful even if you don't get Nefer.

when I first play Weathering Waves! play it was so glitchy.
For brand new players, some anniversary rewards, like the free 5-star character from the standard banner, you may have to play a little bit into the game first before they unlock. (Complete Prologue Act 1 to unlock the wishing system, etc.) But new players should receive the in-game mail with the 1600 primogem rewards on Sept 28th, the 5th anniversary date.
Don't! Play the better Hoyo game, which is HSR. Or better yet, play the greatest gacha game - Weathering Waves!
While it is possible Nahida will age better than Lauma its also possible she will age worse. No one can accurately predict how these characters will age so its better to act on what is useful to you now. Chances are neither will be super effective after 7.0 because its special mechanic will be what matters. If you get Lauma at the start she can help carry you for the next year at least and that doesn't sound like a bad deal. Of course if you just love Nahida then go for her.
Wuwa is good tho
Her kit is kinda niche I say she will probably just be good till 7.0 imo and if you don’t have nahida already pull for her instead bc she will still last you a long time and people saying she’s been power crept but I don’t think lauma will be a good solo dendro you will probably need her anyway
