With a 5-member Saurian team, you can benefit from the extra damage and survivability they offer, as well as the power increase if you lose a member during a fight.
The focus member for this team is the Qucusaurus, which is both Pyro and Ranged, countering almost every opponent this Stage has to offer if you have melee units like the Tatankasaurus and Tepetlisaurus take enemy aggro.

At the start of the stage, you want to do your best to activate the Saurian team's 4-member passive.
Roll for the Saurians naturally as you go through the stages, but start rerolling near the Act I Boss stage if you still lack 4 members.

Due to the amount of levels in Act I, you should be able to snag a duplicate or two to upgrade some of your units to Level 2.
Prioritize the Qucusaurus or Tatankasaurus if you can, but the team will generally benefit from upgraded units regardless.

When setting up your team to take fights, make sure that your Melee units are upfront so they can soak up enemy damage while your ranged units burst them down.
This will generally be your go-to strategy for the entire Stage, so always try to make sure your ranged units are free to hit opponents without consequence.

When you reach the Act I Hydro Phantasm boss, make sure to set it up where all your units are separate from each other.
This is to minimize collateral damage when the Phantasm performs its Hydro hose attack.

Once this is finished, grab the boon that reduces your equipment slots but allows you to have a 5th member, as this allows you to activate the Saurian team's 5-member passive.

For Act 2, your main priority should still be to level all your units to at least Level 2.
If it is possible, try to get either the Qucusaurus or Tatankasaurus to Level 3 at this point, as that will offer them the highest HP and damage possible.

Since Elemental Reactions still function in this arena, pairing the Koholasaurus' Hydro attacks with the Ictomisaurus' Cryo attacks can allow you to crowd-control a single enemy with Freeze when facing multiple opponents.
This is a worthwhile strategy to use and even performs well against boss opponents.

Similarly, pairing the Qucusaurus and Tatankasaurus allows you to proc Overloaded on opponents, dealing extra burst damage and sometimes defeating the enemy on the spot, giving you more room to control the battlefield.

With the pairings mentioned above, run these against the two Ruin Guards in Act 2, with the Tepetlisaurus going with the Freeze group in order to mitigate any unnecessary damage.

Once you finish Act 2, grab the boon that allows one to four squares to have special buffs for units placed on them.

At this point in time, you want to ensure that your team has access to 4-star and 5-star Equipment, so focus on acquiring these if you still lack decent equipment for your units.

You want to make sure your Qucusaurus and Tatankasaurus have Damage Equipment, the Tepetlisaurus has HP or Defense Equipment, and the remaining two having Damage or HP Equipment.
This is done so that your two priority members are able to deal the most damage against the Frostarm Lawachurl in Act 3.

When positioning for this fight, make sure that the Qucusaurus and Tatankasaurus are on special squares, and the Koholasaurus and Ictomisaurus are paired up near each other.
Let the Tepetlisaurus draw the first enemy aggro, and the Lawachurl should swap over to the Tatankasaurus once the Tepetlisaurus falls. By the time this happens however, your units should be able to finish the fight.
