Pick the First and Second Special Topics
The first two Special Topics will allow you to gain a gold 2-star rating while keeping the Automaton relatively tame in terms of power scaling, as the third and fourth Special Topics enhances the enemy via damage or a new attack.

Research Topic: Max Output Test Increases Legatus Golem: Harmonizer's ATK by 120%. |
Pick the Second and Third Special Topics
Pick Repair Function Survey and Max Output Test as those do not add any extra mechanics or much difficulty to the Legatus Golem: Harmonizer's already time-sinking mechanics.
Take note that the Legatus Golem will deal more damage as a result of the Third Special Topic, so watch out for that.

Research Topic: Monster Threat Assessment Increases Hydro Tulpa: Flashflood and Half-Tulpas' ATK by 120%. |
Pick the First and Third Special Topics
Against the Hydro Tulpa, choose Complex Scenario Analysis and Monster Threat Assessment as that keeps the difficulty of the Hydro Tulpa at roughly the same level.
Take note that the Tulpa will deal increased damage, so be prepared to dodge its attacks or to pack a good Shielder unit.

| Recommended Special Topics | Research Topic: Molten Throne After the Tyrant of Fire and Iron performs a leaping strike, the area hit by the attack will become a Molten Throne. After the Tyrant of Fire and Iron has been within the Molten Throne area for a period of time, it will start to constantly regenerate HP. |
Research Topic: Monster Threat Assessment Increases the Tyrant of Fire and Iron's ATK by 120%. |
Pick the Second and Third Special Topics
Against the Tyrant of Fire and Iron, pick Molten Throne and Monster Threat Assessment as they do not make the fight harder than it already is.
When picking Molten Throne, be aware of the Molten Throne areas that the Tyrant will summon and bring ample healing to negate the boss's damage.

How to Play On the Trail of Behemoths
Talk to Helka to Start Challenge
To start the event, teleport to where Helka is and talk to him. You will be asked to choose a boss challenge, and teleported to the challenge location afterwards.
Select a Boss Enemy to Defeat
Choose From Normal, Hard, or Fearless Difficulty
During the event, you can challenge different types of boss enemies in Normal, Hard, or Fearless difficulty. Complete the challenges at varying levels of difficulty to receive the appropriate ratings and rewards.
Complete Challenge in Co-Op Mode
You can also invite another player to complete the challenge in Co-Op Mode. The challenge results will be recorded for both participants, but only Single-Player Mode can be reviewed or exhibited.

Interact with Helka Again or the Challenge Key to Start
Once in the challenge ocation, you can either talk to Helka again or interact with the Challenge Key to change your party setup, choose Special Topics, and start the battle!
Choose Special Topics in Fearless Difficulty
When you choose the Fearless difficulty, you can choose up to two Special Topics which can give the boss enemy different enhancements.

To start the event, complete the event world quest, Why Did a Member of a ''Secret Organization'' Come Here?, which will automatically be in your quest list. Go to the event location at the border of the Sumeru Desert and Natlan, and talk to Helka to finish the quest.
