In Fearless Mode, carrying a Geo Claymore character such as Navia or Noelle can significantly speed up the process of breaking the Golem's shield, making them prime choices as the Main DPS unit.

Try to pair them with buffers such as Furina, Bennett, and Xilonen in order to maximize your damage during the Legatus Golem's downtime.

How to Beat Hard Difficulty

Break the Golem's Geo Shield

The Legatus Golem will be protected by a Geo Shield that reduces its damage taken from your attacks until you break it.

In Hard Mode, this is not too much of an issue and you can get away with brute-forcing your damage through its shield, as you will eventually break it and be able to finish it off.

Focus Down the Geo Ward

If the Legatus Golem gets the chance to throw down a Geo Ward, you have the option to break this Ward to accelerate the Geo shieldbreak process.

Since the Golem has less HP than in Fearless, this is an option but not a priority so opt to break this Ward at your own discretion.

How to Beat Fearless Difficulty

Lower the Golem's Geo Shield

As with Hard Mode, your main priority is to chip down the Golem's shield until it is about 5% remaining.

With your designated Geo, Claymore, or Blunt damage character, keep them on-field to strike the Golem repeatedly, making sure to avoid its telegraphed attacks.

Break the Geo Ward Whenever It Shows

Unlike in Hard Mode, the Geo Ward showing up will significantly speed up the process of breaking its shield, so prioritize breaking this whenever it is summoned to shave seconds off of your clear time.

Run your Set-up Before Breaking the Shield

It is highly recommended to perform your damage set-up, such as Bennett's Elemental Burst, Furina's Elemental Burst, and other off-field skills before breaking its shield.

This is done so your Main DPS enters their damage window right as the Golem's shield goes down, maximizing the amount of time you have to damage it before it recovers.

Pick the Right Special Topics

If you are choosing Special Topics in order to gain the 2-star rating, then opt to pick the 2nd and 3rd ones that cause the Golem to do a solo performance and increases the Golem's ATK.

The reason for this is that the Golem's attacks have patterns that are easily dodged, but can also be negated with a powerful shield, rendering it a non-issue for the most part.

Food Items are Usable

It should be worth noting that you can use food buffs in this fight in order to revive units or increase your damage.

Use this as a trump card for when your pivotal units get hit by a stray attack and go down, or to up your damage so you can defeat the opponent quicker.

Co-Op is an Option

One of the main features of this event that this is available to do in Co-Op, allowing you to team up with friends in order to tackle the challenges.
