I gave him jade spear and 4 piece gladiator att/ crit bits apart from goblet I left hp% to give his shield a bit of strength, I had to retry the first 3 enemies a few times just be aware as the crystals re-appear seems to be timed with the dudes charge attack so just make sure to evade that first, 2nd and 3rd waves are quite easy slow moving mobs / easy to avoid attacks
It took me a few tries, but you need your shield not to die, so it's better to bring it up even before the crystals come back. Beat it with a regular nobless/petra build (though I did swap in homa).
For the first part, a much less finicky approach is to tap to place all three times -- start with the starting pillar with some distance to give you recharge time before the chain starts. Then place a pillar to make a bridge with a tap, finally tap to place between the two final points. With only a 3 second cooldown, this is far less finicky than hold-to-place for the first two. For the fight, the key for me was to just use the mechanics. Shield > crystals, since the buff lasts so long.
My problem with Zhongli's dps build is that his shield doesn't last long enough anymore🥲
Cleared this with C0 Zhongli, Black Tassel, full Millelith, max Talents (HP build). It's recommended to lure the 1st & 3rd wave enemies towards Zhongli E's pillar because it charges your ult faster. Also pray for Ultimate critical hits
Just count 4.5 or 5 seconds after hitting them with shockwave, then hit them again, be sure to reserve your skill for breaking the crystals, use ulti as much as possible or for the ruinguards.
