How to Complete Set Material Procurement and Animal Locations

Use the Photo-Taking Function on Paimon's Menu

To photograph the necessary targets, use the Photo-Taking Function from the menu. While taking a photo, it will also tell you what type of animal you're photographing and your current goal!

The first task is to photograph two types of birds. Birds are often spotted while exploring the wilds, and they can be difficult to photograph because they will begin to fly away as soon as you approach.

We recommend bringing Aloy to your party because her passive can help keep the birds from flying right away.

Best Bird Locations

The easiest place to spot a variety of birds is on the bridge at the entrance of Mondstadt City, near where Timmy is. Make sure to have Aloy in your party to prevent scaring the bird right away, or remain a safe distance if you don't have her.

Another place to see different types of birds is in Fontaine, notably around Poisson.

The second task is to photograph two types of dogs. Dogs are commonly seen in settlements such as Mondstadt City and Court of Fontaine.

There are two types of dogs in Mondstadt City. One is in front of the General Store, near the Alchemy table, while the other is directly behind the General Store, right next to Xi'er.

Other places where you can find different types of dogs are Court of Fontaine, which houses numerous types of poodles.

The third task is to photograph two types of cats. Cats, like dogs, are typically seen inside settlements.

Three different types of cats may be found in front of Cat's Tail in Mondstadt City. Another area to find multiple types of cats is the Asase Shrine in Inazuma.
