If you think Furina is 'bad' because of that, because she's not making previous characters obsolete, then you know nothing about game mechanics and I'm glad the devs not listening to you.
exactly. Yelan is mostly about strong hydro application (although not XQ's level of strength). She has nice buff as addition too, but her main role is off-field damage with almost stable hydro status. Furina, on the other side, has best buff to DMG% in the game and Yelan's level of her own damage. But, for the sake of balance, her hydro application isn't good enough. It was made this way to avoid blatant powercreep of previous hydro characters, obviously.
yelan is better if your looking for another hydro sub dps , Furina has a different role and is better if your looking for a buffer or just want a versatile character in general
I can I agree with that list though I think nahida and Kazuha can be interchangeable
so thats mean furina is not good support alone? I guess its true, Kazuha and Nahida will always better than furina, even Yelan is better lol
CR dont need any offensive buffing. All she need is just CC and teamwide heal and maybe some infusion for vaping. Stick that kit with Furina and we have better support duo than the cringe circle impact kazuha and bennett

I love Furina too, but let's be honest, Kazuha isn't overrated. Yeah, his fans are disgusting sometimes, but as a character he is amazing, the best anemo in the game, has convenient CC, really simple in building (just slap all MC pieces from anemo set you can get). In addition to all this facts, he has beautiful buff to elemental DMG%, something that CR most probably won't get. Also there's a chance that CR will be new Xiao support. If so, then Kazuha will stay with us for awhile again.
Praying mommy CR will have CC, teamwide heal and infusion like jean sunfire so we can have another great combo Furina and CR instead of this overrated shitty kazuha "using Furina meaning no CC" bla bla
Nahida is unreplaceable, and Kazuha, while having a weaker buff than Furina, just simpler in terms of gameplay and don't need additional conditions to do all his things.
Well, for me the list of best characters will look definitely like this: 1. Nahida; 2. Kazuha; 3. Furina; 4. Neuvillette; 5. Yelan. I don't see how Raiden is 'best' now, I don't play her anymore at all. She is good, but now the hydro meta is rising. Furina on the third place as universal buffer, Neuvillette right next to her as the best DPS in the whole game. Zhongli, well. For me Yelan is basically more valuable, 'cause she's also contributes to overall team damage.
I do agree, I pull for her and I dont like her gameplay... My team always on a danger side and I must bring a healer. With healer, I lost slot for shielder, and I dont have baizhu who can do both. Playing with her is lack of comfort, I choose to use Yelan or Kokomi again. She is far if people want to compare her with kazuha or nahida, the must pull unit in genshin is undoubtly those two, the rest is decent unit but not that broken into considered as a must pull character
I dont think furina is that must pull. I agree she made some healer become a great option but its also her downgrade cause she NEED healer to shine made her niche than Yelan/Raiden/Zhongli. Furina simpers will defend against it forever but this is my list : 1. Kazuha 2. Nahida 3. Yelan 4. Zhongli 5. Raiden
yes. it's not accurate but it gives you idea what kind of teams are used to tackle this abyss. not half the player base even bother doing abyss anyways. only meta tryhards submitted their data there.
yes. hydros and sub-dps are important for many teams.
but why waste neuvillette team in single target side when he completely trashes other aoe teams? niloubloom,national,freeze? all those strong aoe teams have been flopped by neuvillette. hyperbloom is single target reaction. cheap and strong. from now on you'll see neuvillette team dominating aoe side, and hyperbloom kukiwith xq/yelan on single target side. trust.

it depends on what the person is asking for and what units they have as well as if they are playing for meta or not.
Honestly speaking I think yelan, raiden and kokomi/baizhu shine in their own way. A lot of people and content creators often recommend raiden over yelan for newer and low level players but meta wise yelan is a stronger unit. I think kokomi is too but tbh she is in the same teir as raiden.So in the end I really think it comes down to who your ranking the top 5 for. We can all agree that Kazuha/nahida/furina are both top options for meta and new and low AR but what about yelan, raiden and kokomi?
Ok it seems a lot of people different opinions on who should go in 4th and 5th place. Someone thinks it’s raiden, someone thinks it’s yelan and somone thinks it’s kokomi/baizhu. That just goes to show that the real top three are Kazuha, nahida and furina and the rest after that are all left to preference and interpretation so all this going back and fourth is really useless. Just shorten the top best characters to 3 instead of 5 and call it a day.
