Complete the Across the Wilderness Quest
Talking to Vinkel in Mondstadt City will reward you with the Wilderness Compass gadget during the Across the Wilderness event in Version 3.3. This also completes the event quest and unlocks the first stage of the mini-game in Mondstadt!

How to Use the Wilderness Compass Gadget
Equip from Gadgets Inventory
You will need to have the gadget equipped before starting a stage. Do this by going to your inventory and finding the item in the Gadgets tab, then pressing Equip after clicking the compass.
Activate Wilderness Skills
The compass lets you use the Wilderness Blessing skill that you chose before starting a stage. Upon activating the gadget, you will gain a buff based on the Blessing's stated effect. Some of the buffs include increased jump height and search radius.
The gadget can store a total of 2 charges with a cooldown of 2 seconds per use.
Configuring your skill
At the Match Preparation board, choose Configure to change the skill of your Wilderness Compass gadget. Note that you can only use one Blessing for a stage, so choose which suits your party best!
Wilderness Blessings and Effects

| Windbless | Creates a wind current in the vicinity. |
| Treasurebless | Increases Wilderness Balloon search radius. |
| Scoutbless | 1. Increases character movement speed. 2. Increases Wilderness Balloon search radius. |
| Trovebless | 1. Increases your character's jump height. 2. Increases the Wilderness Balloon search radius. |
| Speedbless | 1. Increases your character's Movement SPD. 2. Greatly decreases your character's Stamina consumption. |
Replenish energy to get more uses
The gadget will replenish its energy overtime, but you can hasten the process by picking up the yellow energy orbs, as well as collecting the purple balloons!
