How to Increase Player Level in Genshin TCG

Engage in TCG Duels Against NPCs

You can increase your Player Level in Genius Invokation TCG by doing the following:

1. Duel available players in the Open World.
2. Reach Levels 2, 4, 6, and 8.
3. Complete Ascension Quests with Prince.
4. Continue getting EXP from NPC duels.

All Ways to Get TCG Player Level EXP

Duel in the Open World

Achieving victory against Open World NPCs in a Genius Invokation duel is the main source of Player Level EXP! Each NPCs in the overworld are unlocked through a certain Player Level, and defeating them gives you Player EXP!

Check in the Minimap

You can check the NPCs available for a TCG match by using the Casket of Tomes gadget in your inventory, or going to your mini-map!

Zoom-in until the card icon indicating the players' locations appears on your screen. Make sure you have toggled the Search for Player function on to see these icons!

Open World Match Guide

Weekly Guest Challenges

After reaching Player Level 2, a maximum of 4 guest players will arrive in the Cat's Tail tavern every week. Defeating the duelists who have a card icon above their heads grants you Player EXP!

Current Max Player Level

Player Level 10

The max player level for TCG is currently Level 10. Players will have to complete the Ascension Challenge IV to reach this level.

Player Level 4

Players who only recently started playing Genius Invokation TCG can only reach up to player level 5 in their first week after fighting the 4 weekly challenges and the available open world duels from Mondstadt and Liyue.

Max Player Level for Week 2

Player Level 6

Players playing Genius Invokation TCG for the second week in a row can reach up to player Level 6 after fighting the 4 weekly challenges and the available open world duels in Inazuma.

This is assuming you max out the available Player EXP available from week 1.

Max Player Level for Week 3

Player Level 8

Players can reach up to Player Level 8 for the third week, assuming that you complete all open world matches from Mondstadt to Sumeru, as well as do the Weekly Challenges for this week and the first two weeks as well.
