Also, I'd argue that characters like Navia/Yelan/Xianyun and now Clorinde just feel really fun and rewarding to use regardless of the DPS numbers. And at this point, that means I'm going to feel better going for them and playing with them, than just another character with a DPS or Support hike. (Also FYI I'm not dropping Keqing for Clorinde, as alluded too, Alalhaitham became BIS way back in 3.4.)

Just admit that the new 5* unit isn't worth excitement.Standard banner has been giving us an equal-to-better pick for years already.

So with the launch of Clorinde I finally have something to post about. First impressions are good, she's very fun to use and does a respectable job in her role as a main DPS. But while she is more flexible than I expected, she might need a whole new artifact set depending on what team you want her for. I'd place her as a solid S tier, tho I'm still working up her build. What is strange is she's launching with Alhaitham who is still SS tier and frankly a better choice for players without either.
