I mean, just look at Hydro. Xingqiu is amazing, but we got TWO upgrades of him - Yelan and Furina. Similar with Electro. Fischl is amazing, but we got Yae, Raiden and Ororon. Only Pyro has this fetish for main dps while letting support rot.

I think a big part of why they don't add many pyro sub-dps and supports is because Xiangling and Bennett are so good its hard to make new ones worth going for. No idea why so many main DPS though...
This is the truest comment ever made on this website. Pyro is beyond saving - 12 main dps, 2 support, 2 sub dps.
Mihoyo has some fetish to only release pyro DPS characters, which leads to fast power creep, while other elements have characters of all roles. You can look at the tier-list and there is only 1 pyro support released in the last 4 years, and it's Chevreuse. Same goes to pyro sub-DPS, there is none of them (except Mavuika's ass of course)
Lyney is very underrated
Screw Mavuika glazers, but seriously talking about other Pyro DPSes beyond her or Arle is a joke. You either use Hu Tao out of the fact that she used to be the most prolific, using Gaming for the rare plunge-check, Diluc for the dragonstrike meme, or Klee if you hate yourself

It's the RES shred, the Cryo application, and being a Natlan unit the game really wants to shill. She is one of the best units that can actually pair with the current top DPSes

Why is citlali so high? All she gives is 20% hydro pyro res shred and a weaker than average shield
should mavuika use the combo Q C3F D C3F with rosaria, or the new Q [C N1 D]x7 combo?
rosaria is one of the only characters who can apply cryo fast enough for arlecchino/mavuika
Rosaria boosting crit rates is just that useful. For older units, their utility is more important than what numbers of damage they put out. Boosting the crit-rate and allowing the new, powercreeping unit to min-max their absurd numbers even harder is more worthwhile than rat-racing to see whether Kaeya or Rosaria output more relatively microbial damage
