To cleanse the corruption throughout the area, you must restore the broken barrier cores in three locations around the Pillar of Embla. These locations will also be affected by the Abyss, so you'll need to solve a series of puzzles to free the barrier cores from the corruption.

Cleanse the Corruption in Area 1

The corrupted area that's southeast of the tower mainly requires you to defeat the Abyssal monsters that spawn. Once they're gone, you can safely restore the barrier core and cleanse the area.

The damaged barrier core located southeast of the tower is guarded by a Pyro Abyss Mage and a Hydro Abyss Mage. Defeat them first in order to proceed.

The broken piece of the barrier core is blocked by Abyssal Riftlines. You'll need to pick up the nearby Super Sharp Spirebloom and shoot lightblades to break them.

Breaking the Abyssal Riftlines will spawn waves of enemies including a Hydro Hilichurl Rogue and Fisher of Hidden Depths. Defeat them to proceed to the next step.

Look towards the piece of barrier core and interact with it to pick it up.

Stand in an area where you have direct line of sight with the rest of the barrier core. Hold the Left Mouse Button to aim and shoot the piece towards the core to repair it.

Cleanse the Corruption in Area 2

There's another corrupted area towards the east of the tower. You will mostly need to shoot lightblades from the nearby Super Sharp Spirebloom to get rid of the Abyssal Riftlines blocking the barrier core.

The damaged barrier core is located directly east of the tower. The first piece of the broken barrier core will be blocked by Abyssal Riftlines and you will need to use lightblades from the nearby Spirebloom to free it.

Pick up the piece and return it to the barrier core. This will spawn Rockfond Rifthounds, so you will need to defeat them to proceed.

More Abyssal Riftlines will spawn and you will need to clear them with the Spirebloom lightblades again. Repeat this process at least two more times to make all of them disappear.

Look towards the second piece of the barrier core and interact with it to collect it.

Stand in an area where you have direct line of sight with the rest of the barrier core. Hold the Left Mouse Button to aim and shoot the piece towards the core to repair it.

Cleanse the Corruption Area 3

The corrupted area that's northeast of the tower requires you to properly connect a series of kuuvahki currents. Make use of the Mandragoras and the Intricate Bloom in the area to restore the barrier core.

The damaged barrier core located northeast of the tower is inside a cave. However, the cave entrance will be blocked by a Blightseep Field.

To clear the Blightseep Field, you will need to connect the energy from the Nycalyx to the Solaris Core further back. Start at the back and reposition the Mandragora to connect the energy between the triangles.

Pick up the Mandragora in front of the cave and place it in between the Nycalyx and the triangle near the cave entrance. This should dispel the Blightseep Field.

To unlock the barrier core in the cave, pick up the core of the Intricate Bloom and stand slightly to the right until you're aligned with the center of the cave. This will fix the alignment of the triangles to properly connect the kuuvahki current.

Once the area has been cleansed, look towards the piece of the barrier core and interact with it to collect it.
