Drifting Toward a Promised Sky Walkthrough

Rescue the Fallen Jellyfish

Grab the Keycard

The keycard is conveniently located right next to the panel. Pick it up and insert it into the panel to deactivate the barrier. A cutscene will then ensue.

Shut Down the Fatui Machines

Shut Down the Fatui Machine

After the cutscenes, go to the back of the chamber and shut down the Kuuvahki separator to fully rescue the jellyfish, which Paimon will name Valberry Jelly.

Follow Valberry Jelly

Follow Valberry Jelly

Valberry Jelly will drift off to a shore nearby surrounded by large seashell-looking structures. Follow it and it will instruct you to search the sand piles nearby for its kin.

Examine the Sand Piles

With Valberry Jelly's energy, you will constantly be in the empowered state, so examine all the sand piles nearby while eliminating the recon bots in your way until you find another fallen jellyfish.

Bipolar and Unipolar Objects Guide

Eliminate the Recon Bots

Destroy the Recon Bots

Once you do find a fallen jellyfish, you'll call Valberry Jelly over, but it will be ensnared by a recon bot. Go ahead and destroy it to rescue Valberry Jelly.

Find and Rescue Jellyfish

You and Paimon will then go on a mission to find and rescue Valberry Jelly's remaining kin. Go to the area just north of Valberry Jelly's original chamber, which should look like a metal couryard of sorts.

You should spot some Kuuvahki separators. The jellyfish should be trapped just beyond.

Retrieve the ID Card

Retrieve the ID Card

Defeat the nearby mechs and a recon bot carrying the ID Card will soon appear.

Snatch the ID Card from it (no need to eliminate it) and insert the ID Card into the panel to free the jellyfish, which you will sadly be too late to save.

ID Cards Mechanism Guide

Find and Rescue the Final Jellyfish

The last jellyfish is located on an island just northeast of the previous location, right next to a Teleport Waypoint. You should spot it trapped in one of the containers to the right.

Look for the ID Card

Look for the ID Card

Look for the ID Card inside one of the containers just opposite of the jellyfish's chamber. A cutscene will ensue of you being trapped and Valberry Jelly using its last remaining powers to free you.

Destroy the Kuuvahki Separator

Destroy the Kuuvahki Separator

To free the jellyfish, destroy the Kuuvahki separator in the middle of the area. Be sure to bring along characters who excel in demolition, such as clarmore users.

Defeat the Opponents

Defeat the Opponents

More Fatui mechs will show up to try and stop you. Put an end to them, then watch the cutscenes and the quest will conclude!

i got it you literally need to walk facefirst into the barrier in front of the jellyfish to trigger a 2nd cutscene. then only the keycard will spawn
