Bring them Closer in Empowered State

Genshin - ID Card Mechanics - Bring them Closer in Empowered State

ID Cards are bipolar objects that can be attracted towards you while you're in an Empowered State. This means you'll need to stay close to an object charged with Kuuvahki energy to enter the Empowered State.

Since ID Cards are bipolar objects, the color of the Kuuvahki energy you absorb in the Empowered State doesn't particularly matter. As long as you stay close to the energy source, you can pick up ID Cards no problem!

Look for Charged Objects in the Environment

Genshin - ID Card Mechanics - Look for Charged Objects in the Environment

You can typically find a charged object in the immediate area where an ID Card is located in. For example, there are many Cleaning Bots that emit Kuuvahki energy in the Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau.

However, since some Cleaning Bots tend to move around, you'll also need to follow its path to maintain your Empowered State and avoid dropping the ID Card!

Move to Scan Them on Barrier Generators

Once you've attracted an ID Card, it'll follow your movements in mid-air. ID Cards are used to unlock Barrier Generators, so you just need to walk or jump in a direction that aligns the ID Card with the generators!

As of Version Luna I, ID Cards can mostly be encountered while completing World Quests located at the Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau and Nothing Passage in Nod-Krai.

During these quests, successfully scanning ID Cards allow you to access new areas or obtain extra treasure chests along the way!
