The first stage of Bloomflower Trials is an Offensive Battle where you must use Mualani and trigger Vaporize reactions to defeat the enemy camp.

In the second stage, you must use Varesa and protect your flags, defeating waves of enemies in a Defensive Battle!

The third stage is an Offensive Battle with Kinich's burning reaction teams taking the lead. Capture strongholds and don't let enemies steal them back before conquering the enemy camp.

Kachina is the trial character for the fourth stage, making for slightly more flexible team choices. Use Electro-Charge teams or any team that can deal with large groups of enemies to defend your camp successfully!

The fifth and last Offensive Battle features Chasca and her Elemental Bullets overwhelming opponents. Capture strongholds, eliminate opponents, and soar through the air in this aggressive assault.

The sixth and last overall stage of the Bloomflower Trials sub-event features Citlali's defensive capabilities as she defends the flags from waves of opponents. Freeze or Melt through hordes of enemies until time runs out!
How to Play Bloomflower Trials
Talk to Ballo to Play
After progressing the event quests, talk to Ballo to start playing Bloomflower Trials!
Each stage in Bloomflower Trials is one of two types, Defensive Battles or Offensive Battles, where you either defend or capture flags from different enemies, respectively!
Capture the Enemy Camp in Offensive Battles
Charge Ritual Items and Destroy the Enemy Camp's Barrier
For Offensive Battles, you can capture enemy strongholds and defeat the Enemy Camp with the help of a Trial Character!
The enemy camp is protected by a Barrier that can only be destroyed using ritual items. To charge energy for the ritual items, you must capture strongholds and complete events scattered on the map.
Capture Stronghold Flags
There will be three Stronghold Flags scattered on the event map. Capture these flags to charge ritual items, gain buffs and the ability to teleport to the stronghold flag during the challenge!
These Strongholds also regenerate energy for ritual items continuously, and the more Strongholds you capture, the faster it regenerates energy.
Complete Emergency Events
After capturing a Stronghold, enemies may appear nearby. Defeat the enemies to gain more energy and prevent losing your Stronghold.
Collect Provisional Supply Boxes
During the stage, Provisional Supply Boxes also have a chance to appear. Destroying these supply boxes with an attack lets you gain more ritual energy!
Complete Tribal Challenges
There will also be Tribal Challenges present in the stage, which you can complete to get energy faster.
Defeat Enemy Forces
Once you've broken the barrier in the enemy camp, storm the camp and defeat all enemy forces to complete the stage!
Defend Your Flag in Defensive Battles
In Defensive Battles, Travelers need to prevent their own flag from being destroyed by their opponents to complete the challenge. Defensive Battles can be done in Normal, Hard, or Very Hard difficulty!
Each difficulty level have different special objectives that you need to complete to complete the challenge and that give additional stars.
Collect Buffs in Between Attacks
Before a wave of attack, a bluegreen buff will appear somewhere in the challenge area! Collect these buffs before challenging the enemies. Keep the stage buffs in mind use them effectively and deal more damage!
Defeat Enemies in Waves
There will be a certain number of waves of enemies in the stage, with each wave having special enemies that pose a greater threat. Defeat these enemies and don't let them destroy your stronghold flags!
How to Unlock Bloomflower Trials
Progress the Tournament of Glory in Bloom Event Quest
To unlock Bloomflower Trials, you must first progress the For Our Saurian Companion event world quest, up until the decision to join the tournament.
After this, the event quest, ''Let the Bloomflower Trials Begin!'' should automatically appear in your quest list.

Complete Let the Bloomflower Trials Begin! Quest
Head to the location of the Tournament just outside of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame and talk to Ballo to complete the event quest and begin playing Bloomflower Trials!

I could really do without these long trials without breaks, or save points, as it is getting ridiculous again. Like most of the game, the rewards of course, to assist in progression but this is just so f....ing boring as it goes on and you can't leave it. All over the place. Hope the rest improves.
