If you cannot destroy the three pillars in time, just make sure you have a burst ready and activate it before the final attack hits the ground. Generally time it right and the burst animation will negate the attack. 5 stars highly recommended as the burst animation helps the timing a bit better compared to 4 stars.

am I supposed to use Mavuika burst upon the pillars?
I always failed to destroy the three pillars in time tho. So in every single match I've won, l won only after sacrificing poor Iansan in later part of the battle to the meteor 😢 I use Mavuika, Bennett, Citlali, Iansan as my team. all c0 except Iansan who is C4. Any idea? I'm f2p, so im using a r3 Tidal Shadow. Citlali on ttds, Bennett with Sapwood and iansan on Tamayuratei. Do i have to use Mavuika burst on the pillars though? I never tried that before
hey hi there! I'm a new(just over half a year into the game) player who thought id have that same problem after pulling for Mavuika last month. But that taught me of how to use the "Match" button, which is the feature i never used before that :) So, simply put, co op saved me big time(many thx to all those complete strangers who battled this mosnter alongside my c0 Bennett many many times) Now i beat this monster in single player with my talented Mavuika
What if you don't have any Natlan characters because you hate most of them with passion? Only have Mavuika and she can't beat him because she needs HIS Materials to level up her talents!
Easy enough boss with most characters. Just tedious to do. Bring pyro traveler or some natlanese support and you're fine. The thing is a coward and vanishes for half the fight, but if I, Neverwoe, can do it with my crappy builds and characters you most certainly can. Those complaining just have a skill issue and are coping with it. Lol.

one shot bs for whales to feel strong... needs natlan to force you to pay for characters... boring fight as well... nothing good to say about this boss
One shot mechanics make me want to quit Genshin.

I think that people like commenter 2 know that giving one shot mechanics, making boss non-targetable, because he is out of your range for most of fight, is a FAKE difficulty created by lazy and uncreative designer. Making boss looks good with flashy animation do not make boss good.
Don't worry. People like commenter #2 and #3 just think that you should be able to brute-force everything with your Neuvillette or Arlecchino teams. They don't understand that, yes, you actually do need some skills in Genshin Impact occasionally. I also beat this boss multiple teams without any Natlan characters in my team.

It's terribly designed because it is impossible to tell where any of its hitboxes are, and whether the boss is even targetable or not at any given moment. If you are up close to land melee hits all the animations are entirely off screen. Getting oneshot is stupid in general and should not be a common occurrence.
Why Bad Design?? He looks insanely good and you dont need nightsoul to beat him i play with only 4 Star and my Gaming/Chev team kills him in seconds so no P2W or anything.
Most P2W bos ever. With every update i want to drop this game more and more
