Use Radiant Pillars and Fragments to Clear Abyssal Corruption
In the Palace of the Vision Serpent quest, you must clear the Abyssal Corruption of the Chu'ulel Light Core to proceed. To do this, you need to use Radiant Pillars and Radiant Fragments to cleanse the filth.
There are three main Radiant Pillars you need to light up for the light core to fall to the ground.
How to Activate the First Radiant Pillar
Head to the first Radiant Pillar just down the path after entering the cave. Since you have an extra Radiant Fragment after clearing the Abyssal Vortice at the entrance, use that on the first pillar to activate it and cleanse the filth around it.
How to Activate the Second Radiant Pillar

| 1 |  From the first Radiant Pillar, move down the path and glide through the gap. It will be located just northwest of the first pillar. To get the Radiant Fragments for this one, you'll have to use an elevator in the room behind the pillar. |
| 2 | Go to the left and enter the room behind the Radiant Pillar. Use the elevator to head down and then freely extract the first Radiant Fragment from the pillar. Move forward and see another pillar, a switch, and a gate. |
| 3 | Take the second Radiant Fragment from the pillar and then use the switch to open the gate. Go back up to the second Radiant Pillar and use both to activate it and cleanse the filth from the core. |

| 1 | From the second Radiant Pillar, move down the path and glide to see the third pillar. It is located just east of the second pillar. To get the Radiant Fragments for this one, cleanse the Abyssal Vortice to its left. |
| 2 | Near the Abyssal Vortice, you'll see a Radiant Fragment. Pick it up and then use it on the pillar next to the Vortice to clear it. You'll see a Pyroculus in the opening, so go through it and glide down. |
| 3 | A short cutscene happens once you glide down. In the small room, go near the wooden shelf and pick up the Rust-Spotted Key. Use the switch next to the gate and the elevator will go down. Use the elevator and go back up. |
| 4 |  Exit the elevator and head back to the now-destroyed pillar next to the Abyssal Vortice. Take the Radiant Fragment and move forward until you see the barrier. Use the Rust-Spotted Key on the switch next to it to remove it. |
| 5 | Now you'll be back to the entrance of the cave. Go to the pillar next to the pathway you opened earlier and take the Radiant Fragment from it. Now that you have two fragments again, go back to the third Radiant Pillar. |
| 6 | Use both Radiant Fragments on the third and final Radiant Pillar to cleanse the filth from the core. After using them, a cutscene will trigger. Once done, glide down to the center where the core has fallen and continue the quest. |

Radiant Pillars Light Up Areas
Radiant Pillars are used to light up areas in the cave of the Chu'ulel Light Core. These pillars also cleanse Abyssal Corruption and Vortices, which help you explore the cave and proceed with the Palace of the Vision Serpent quest.
Use Radiant Fragments to Light Up Pillars
Radiant Fragments are fragments of light near Radiant Pillars, which are used to light them up. Some pillars only need one fragment while others need two before they can light up and function.

Clearing out Abyssal Corruption is an objective of the Palace of the Vision Serpent quest. The Abyssal Corruption surrounding the light core must be cleansed using Radiant Pillars and Fragments so it can fall to the ground.
