The first shell can be found on top of a surfboard in the Great Training Area of the Springs.

Get from Rongo after Surfing Test

Genshin Impact Stride on Rainbows, Split the Waves Walkthrough - Shiny Shell Location 2

A Shiny Shell is given by Rongo after you clear part of the World Quest that has you test out the Great Training Area of the Springs for the first time.

In front of Ancient Inscription

Genshin Impact Stride on Rainbows, Split the Waves Walkthrough - Shiny Shell Location 3

A Shiny Shell can be found right in front of the Ancient Inscription on top of the mountain in the island.

Players can actually collect this Shiny Shell even before starting the Stride on Rainbows, Split the Waves World Quest.

Can also be collected during Mualani's Story Quest

Players can also collect this Shiny Shell should they not do the World Quest yet, but arrive at the Ancient Inscription during Mualani's Story Quest.

The Ancient Inscripton can be found at a mountain on an island east from People of the Springs, and southeast of Ameyalco Waters.

It is in walking distance of a nearby Teleport Waypoint.

Collecting these Shiny Shells is crucial in completing a World Quest called Stride on Rainbows, Split the Waves, as these unlock special Spiritways that will be needed during that Quest.

Genshin Impact - Shiny Shells (Quest Item in Natlan)

The Shiny Shell is an item that is required as part of the Stride on Rainbows, Split the Waves World Quest, where you will need to collect three of them and place in an Ancient Inscription as part of a quset objective.

Their locations are not pinpointed in the map, but collecting them is needed to open the Spiritdoors in Rongo's Great Training Area of the Springs, and progress in the Quest.
