Fragments of the Yellow Obsidian Ring can be found by opening Precious or Luxurious Chests in Natlan. You will initially get Yellow Obsidian Fragments and three pieces automatically form one Yellow Obsidian Ring.

To make the search more challenging, you can only get Obsidian Fragments by chance, which means not all Precious or Luxurious chests you open guarantee a piece of Obsidian Fragment inside.

Reward From Warrior's Challenges

Yellow Obsidian Fragments can also be obtained from Warrior Challenges within the area of the Children of Echoes tribe. Completing a Warrior Challenge can grant you a Yellow Obsidian Fragment from the Precious Chest it rewards.

This is not guaranteed however and is still by chance.

Quick Digging Warrior's Challenge	Use the eastern Teleport Waypoint in Sulfurous Veins and head east until you see some Phlogiston crystals and a digging Tepetlisaurus. You will see Centaca near it, so go and talk to him to start the challenge.
Rock Hopping Warrior's Challenge	Use the middle Teleport Waypoint in Sulfurous Veins and glide southeast until you reach the other mountain and see a small, wooden hut. You will see Quiltec in it, so go and talk to him to start the challenge.
The Great Chase Warrior's Challenge	Use the northeastern Teleport Waypoint from Stadium of the Sacred Flame and head west until you see two small Tepetlisauri. You will see Xiuhyo near them, so go and talk to her to start the challenge.
Amidst the Flowing Light	Teleport to the waypoint at Firethief's Secret Isle and head towards the north until you reach a small island with a bunch of Koholasaurs. The challenge will be at the shore of the small island.

Players can find the Tribe Secret Trove for Children of the Echoes at the village's waypoint. All the player needs to do is turn around and look down as the Tribe Secret Trove is hidden in a cave.

You can use the Yellow Obsidian Rings to activate the entrance to the Children of Echoes' Secret Trove. Slotting in the Yellow Obsidian Ring removes the barrier that keeps outsiders from entering!
