There are 45 Knocking Vases throughout Chenyu Vale. They are particularly common in Yodie Valley's upper and lower levels.
So far, it seems you can only collect from a knocking vase once, and it does not refresh.

Can be found along a wooden bridge. You must first place the simulacra on its pedestal before interacting with the vase. Then you must hit the vase twice, which will summon a Whopperflower and Slime; defeat them to unlock the chest nearby. |

Return across the broken bridge; you can use Golden Carp's Leap to get to the area. The vase is directly in front of the spider's web.

Go past the spiderweb to find another vase. When you try to approach the spider, it will shoot explosive barrels, so make sure you kill it first.
