Strange Key is dropped by Who Am I?, a Treasure Hoarder NPC. He is found near a cliff on the southwest edge of the map, southwest of Mt. Mingyuan teleport waypoint.

How to Use Strange Key

Release the Carefree Simulacrum

Genshin Impact - Strange Key Simulacrum

After you get the Strange Key from Who Am I?, use the Flighty Simulacrum nearby to climb the side of the mountain. Defeat the enemies when you reach the top.

Use the Strange Key on the wooden cage and take the Carefree Simulacrum with you.

Guide the Carefree Simulacrum

Genshin Impact - Strange Key Simulacrum Return

Once you've taken the Carefree Simulacrum out of the cage, follow the trail of Pinecones until you reach its platform.

Return it to its original position and you'll get a Precious Chest with 10x Primogems, 5x Geo Sigils, Talent Level Up Materials, and other goodies.
