Snow-Coverd Path Shards

The Ice Shard in Snow-Covered Path is located just ahead of the area past the Fatui Camp.

How to Thaw the Shards In Snow-Coverd Path

	Step by Step Guide
1	Head to Dragonspine and investigate the strange ice pillar.
2	One of the quartz is located near the teleport waypoint.
3	Take the quartz and thaw the ice shard with it. After you hit it once, you must hit it three more times.
4	Another quartz can be found next to the Frostarm Lawchurl. Defeat the Lawchurl and take the scarlet quartz.
5	There is another one at the back of the tree.
6	The final quartz can be found east of the Ice Shard at the Hilichurl camp.
7	After breaking the ice pillar, you can now access the Frostbearing Tree.

Entombed City Outskirts Shards

The Entombed City Outskirts Ice Shard is located underground south of Wyrmrest Valley. Before you can enter the area, you must solve the puzzle and defeat the Ruin Guards.

How to Thaw the Shards In Entombed City

	Step by Step Guide
1	Proceed to Wyrmrest Valley, to the area which has Cryo mechanisms and four warming pillars.
2	Interact with the button in the middle and activate the Cryo puzzles in the right order. Follow the movement of the Seelie to identify the pattern.
3	After activating the puzzle get ready to fight the two Ruin Guards, followed by the Ruin Grader. Beating them will unlock the next ice pillar located below.
4	Once inside the chamber, locate the Scarlet Quartz and thaw the Ice Shard.
5	The final quartz is hidden behind a locked door that can only be unlocked by guiding all of the Seelies. One Seelie is at the mechanism above ground, while the other is hidden beneath the snow, which can be melted with Pyro.
6	After finding both Seelie, look for the last Scarlet Quartz and thaw out the Ice Shard. You will face two more Ruin Graders before you leave the area.

Starglow Cavern Shards

The Starglow Cavern Ice Shard is located deep within the cave. To thaw this Shard, you must first complete the challenge in Starglow Cavern.

To unlock the challenge, you must guide the three Warming Seelies!

How to Thaw the Shards In Starglow Cavern

	Step by Step Guide
1	Once you reach the bottom center of the cavern, look for the Warming Seelie before starting the challenge. You have to clear this challenge in order to remove the barrier protecting the pillar.
2	The first warming Seelie is just near one of the Scarlet Quartz rocks in the exit.
3	The second one is behind the ice pilar, next to a deactivated Ruin Guard. Break the rocks to free the Seelie and the Scarlet Quartz.
4	The next Seelie can be found on the path just right of the previous one. Walk up the cavern to find it and another Scarlet Quartz.
5	After unlocking all 3, you can now begin the Challenge. Keep running on the edge of the water to prevent yourself from getting frozen by Hilichurls and Abyss Mages.
6	After completing the challenge, use the Scarlet Quartz to thaw out the pillar.

Final Shards On the Peak of Dragonspine

The last shards will be placed on the peak of Dragonspine mountain. This will only unlock after you have done the previous shards!

Like all the other shards, thaw all three shards around the peak with the Scarlet Quartz. You will need to defeat a Frostarm Lawachurl, activate an Anemo mechanism, and defeat enemies to be able to thaw these shards.

	Step by Step Guide
1	Once you have reached the main pillar, you have to thaw out 3 more pillars to repair the main pillar.
2	Continue climbing up until you reach another Frostarm Lawachurl. When you defeat the Lawchurl, you will gain access to the Scarlet Quartz nearby, which you can use to thaw out the first pillar.
3	After thawing out the first pillar, go back up the same way until you reach an Anemo mechanism. Activate it to glide to the other side of the mountain.
4	There are two Scarlet Quartz after you glide over. Defeat the enemies, and use them to thaw out the last two pillars.
