To Open the Ruins' Gate, get the clues from Rene's Investigation Notes, provided to you by Nasejuna. The instructions left by Rene in his notes are as follows:

Turn the gears such that all three types of runes are displayed. Ensure that the square rune is connected to the triangular rune at the bottom without changing said triangle.

Operate the Ruin Mechanism

Next, head over to the Ruin Mechanism to Open the Ruins' gate. According to Rene's Investigation Notes, the three runes must be displayed, with the bottom one being the Triangle, and the middle, the Square. This only leaves us with the upside-down E, as the rune on top.

	Ruin Mechanism Combination
1	Rotate the Upper Level once to get the upside-down E rune.
2	Rotate the Middle Level twice to get the Square rune.
3	Retain the Lower Level. Doing these should open the ruins' gate.
