Consecrated Horned Crocodiles are enemies that can be found in the new Girdle of the Sands area, particularly near bodies of water like swamps and amongst its ordinary kin, Spinocrocodiles.

How to Beat Consecrated Horned Crocodile

Agile and Aggressive Attacks

The Horned Crocodile favors attacking aggressively without much tactical consideration.

It can burrow on the ground, however, to avoid taking damage before unleashing a tail swipe attack.

Its attacks are also much faster than those of its kind. So simply keep an eye out for its attacks to avoid them as much as you can. Some attacks will leave the Horned Crocodile vulnerable, so watch out for these as well.

Mostly Lives Amongst Water

Much like any crocodile, the Horned Crocodile likes to be near bodies of water like swamps and rivers. Use this terrain as an advantage to defeat it using Hydro-related elemental reactions.

Using Cryo characters to Freeze the Horned Crocodile is a great tactic to minimize its movements and attacks. Hyperbloom is also a viable option for eliminating the Horned Crocodile quickly.

Dodge Out of the Blue Circles

While in Phagocytic Form, the Horned Crocodile will unleash Phagocytic Deluge, which will deal severe Hydro damage at a large twice. The radius of this attack will be indicated on the ground by blue circles.

Once you see the indicators, quickly dash away to avoid taking damage.

Short Opening after the Roll Attack

One of the Horned Crocodile's attacks involves rolling sideways to deal damage to anything in its path at a wide angle.

Dodge out of the way and wait for it to finish rolling. It will leave the Horned Crocodile dazed for a few moments, giving you an opening to strike.
