Kaeya's deck is focused on combat, meaning that you'll likely be taking damage every round. It's best to have Action cards that restore HP, as well as any card that can provide you with a shield!

Be Careful of Getting Frozen

Kaeya or Mona's Character Cards are often used in tandem in this Duel, so defeat them quickly to avoid getting frozen!

How to Beat Kaeya in a Serious Showdown

Prioritize Defeating Bennett or Mona First

In Kaeya's serious showdown, the thing that you should be most wary of, aside from being Frozen, is the Vaporize reaction from Mona and Bennett, which can be setup pretty easily since both of their skills aren't that expensive.

You can expect Kaeya to score a hit with Mona's skill, which doesn't do much damage, but it applies Hydro at the end each round which makes your active character prone to being Frozen or worse, Vaporized, that's why defeating Mona or Bennett first should be your top priority.

Bring A Summons Deck

One of the trickiest quirks of Kaeya's deck is being Frozen which could be a hard loss, especially if your deck capitalizes on active application of reactions or on hitting normal attacks.

This can be mitigated by using a Summon's deck which can help you deal damage despite being Frozen. This can also help you redirect your cards on sustaining your active characters by providing healing or setting up higher energy point-generation.
