All Surfpiercer Waverider Challenges | |

Surfpiercer has six levels, and these levels unlock each day until the sixth challenge is available!
Location | Minacious Isle, Golden Apple Archipelago |
---|
To charge up your waverider properly, use the Coalesce Ability as soon as you see any of the green orbs that indicates the Piercer's Drive!
There aren't many obstacles in the challenge, so it's best to focus on collecting Piercer's Drive to power up your Surfpiercer's Surge and completing the challenge as fast as possible!
Location | Minacious Isle, Golden Apple Archipelago |
---|
You need to collect as many Piercer's Drive as possible to max out your Surfpiercer's Surge stacks, so you can burst through the obstacles!
There are large ruins in the area! Navigate your waverider away to avoid getting stuck in those ruins, and use the Coalesce ability to grab any Piercer's Drive near it.
Once you're in the gliding section of the challenge, the wind current will raise you up higher than the wind rings.
Your character needs to be positioned above the wind rings as you glide it up, or else you won't be able to catch the last wind ring that will lead you to the finish line!
Location | Minacious Isle, Golden Apple Archipelago |
---|
The challenge is filled with Hot Air Balloons and Transport Balloons! You need to burst through the Hot Air Balloons with Surfpiercer's Surge and avoid the Transport Balloons in order to complete the challenge fast.
There are reefs that connect to floating platforms that you need to pass through. Navigate your waverider to avoid the both the reefs and the large floating platforms!
This challenge will not give you the opportunity to collect more Piercer's Drive (green orbs) so as soon as the Surge is ready with one stack, use it to burst through Hot Air Balloons and obstacles!
Location | Broken Isle, Golden Apple Archipelago |
---|
The challenge not only has air balloons, it also features dusty balloons mixed in with the Piercer's Drive (green orbs)!
These dusty balloons will obscure your vision as you sail, so it's best to avoid them and use the Coalesce ability to get the Piercer's Drive.
Transportation Balloons cannot be destroyed, they also move sideways, and up and down during the challenge. There's a part where you need to zigzag around the area to avoid them and get the Piercer's Drive.
There's also this long track where they just go up and down, you need to choose a side then stick to it and use the Coalesce ability to get any Piercer's Drive orbs.
The track stretches long in this challenge, to cover more distance you need to use your Surfpiercer's Surge even when there's no barrier or hot air balloon in front of you.
To efficiently do this, keep one or two stacks loaded in Surfpiercer's Surge to avoid not being able to burst through barriers even when you speed up.
Location | Twinning Isle, Golden Apple Archipelago |
---|
While you also need to cover more distance here, there are also many barriers that you can pass through! Keep one surge for those many barriers.
There are also moving Dusty Balloons in this challenge that will prove hard to pass by without getting your vision blocked! You can either navigate to the side of the balloons, or you can time it to pass by one of the gaps.
Location | Twinning Isle, Golden Apple Archipelago |
---|
During Stage 6, you can take multiple courses! You need to choose a path that lets you burst through fast with the Surfpiercer's Surge. For the first part, that's the path avoiding the barrier with a bridge on top.
There will be two choices almost every route in the challenge. One of them is to either choose to go the route with a transport balloon or burst through a barrier.
Choose the barrier as the balloon will lead you to a sea of whirlpools!
Near the last part once you encounter the image above, you need to choose the barrier course, this will lead you directly towards the finish line!
During the event, you need to use the Waverider to sail through the challenges! Check out the Waverider Guide for a quick guide on how it works:
To make the challenge smoother, always align your waverider to the wispy line by the challenge button. It points to the direction where the challenge will generally go!
You navigate your waverider to align to that line, or you can start the challenge then click on the challenge again button! If you do that, you will respawn on the water with your waverider will be aligned correctly.
You need to navigate your Waverider to pass through Golden Track Banners, which would indicate your current progress in the racetracks!
The controls for the Waverider are different during the Surfpiercer Challenges. Instead of being able to shoot obstacles, you can collect green orbs via the Coalesce Ability and Burst through obstacles via the Surfpiercers Surge!
The green energy orbs are called the Pierce's Drive, which will give the Surfpiercer's Surge a stack once you collect enough of it! Collecting Piercer's Drive will stack up to three times.
You can use Surfipiercer's Surge to burst through obstacles like small and large composite obstacles, fences, small hot air balloons, and small floating towers!
Keep in mind that it can't burst through all heavier or larger obstacles like large floating towers, large transport balloons, reefs, and seaborne ruins.
The time above is not a time limit, but rather it counts how long you've been doing the challenge. Always aim to finish within 140 seconds or 2 minutes and 20 seconds!
