Genshin Impact announced that the Version 2.7 update will be delayed. Here's all the latest news on the 2.7 delay, banner extensions, how HoYoVerse plans to compensate, and how long the Version 2.7 delay will last!
Latest News on the Version 2.7 Delay
The Version 2.7 update is delayed until May 31, 2022. The reasons for the delay are undisclosed but it's likely that current events have affected the development of the upcoming version.
Genshin players shouldn't feel so down though, because we'll be getting banner extensions, new events, and weekly Primogem rewards while we wait for Version 2.7!

HoYoVerse has recently announced that the Version 2.7 update will arrive on May 31, 2022! While Version 2.8 is scheduled for July 13, 2022.

Starting on May 11, 2022, players who are at least Adventure Rank 5 will get a compensation package every Wednesday. The compensation items include 400 Primogems and more!
Players will receive the package through an in-game mail for every week the Version 2.7 update is still delayed.

Current Banners Get Extensions
Both Ayaka's banner and the Epitome Invocation banner are extended with the 2.7 delay. The rate-ups for both banners stay the same.
Genshin also recently fixed the 240-Day banner countdowns to say that the banners will be active only until the end of Version 2.6.

Two New Events Scheduled
The Spices from the West event was released during the 2.7 delay despite being delayed by the Teapot Maintenance. Genshin also threw in an Overflowing Mastery rerun as a way to compensate!
