In order to officially enter the Chasm area, you will need to go through the Chasm Charters World Quest. You can get this quest by talking to either Lan by the Liyue Adventurers' Guild or to Xu by the Feiyun Commerce Guild.
Once you have the quest, you can go right past the Millelith standing guard at the entrance of The Chasm.
You can also sneak into the Chasm by climbing the surrounding mountains and going through there to bypass the Millelith Guards.
The Chasm's surface is only one part of the Chasm Region, and leads to the Underground Mines in the area.
