Map Corrosion Intensity Explanation

High Corrosion Intensity Increases Corrosion Buildup

Each section of the map has a different level of corrosion. If your Bokuso Box has a lower resistance level compared to the intensity of the area, your character's Corrosion Index will increase.

How to Remove Map Corrosion

Raise Corrosion Resistance Level

By raising your Corrosion Resistance at the Statue of the Vassals, the Corrosion Intensity at different parts of the map will disappear! This will let you have an easier time exploring different sections of the map while taking your time.

Corrosion Index Explanation

Faster Index Buildup with Low Resistance and High Intensity

The difference between the Corrosion Intensity and your Corrosion Resistance determines how fast the Corrosion Index increases. A Bokuso Box with 6 Resistance Points will increase its Corrosion Index faster in an area with 118 Corrosion Intensity compared to one with 15!

Corrosion Exposure Effects

Lower Damage

Corrosion Index 10
Corrosion Index 100

The higher the Corrosion Index level is, the lower the damage of characters becomes. It may prove difficult unlocking the Towers of the Void because of this, especially if you need to beat Shadowy Husks!

Increases Damage Taken

Having a higher Corrosion level will also reduce your character's Physical and Elemental Resistance. Unless you're good at dodging, consider upgrading your Bokuso Box!

Drains Bokuso Box Energy

As the Corrosion Index increases, the faster the rate of the Energy Drains for the Bokuso Box. The energy from the Bokuso Box is needed to defeat enemies affected by aegis of unlight, clearing chests, or interacting with the Towers of the Void!

How to Reduce Corrosion Index

Level Up the Bokuso Box

The most straightforward way to reduce the Corrosion Index Buildup is by upgrading your Bokuso Box. You will need to offer Light Realm Sigils to the Statue of the Vassals to upgrade the Bokuso Box.
How to Use the Bokuso Box

Recuperate on the Statue

Using the Recuperate function on the Statue of the Vassals will reset your Corrosion Index to 0 and also refill the Bokuso Box's energy.
