The Elite Treasure Hoarders are characterized by a Pyro-like symbol above their heads. The color is darker than the normal Pyro status effect.
These treasure hoarders have an increased DEF and some can even buff their allies!
Before and After Using Quelling Firecrackers |
Always use the Quelling Firecrackers on the Elite Treasure Hoarders to dispel their buffs! These can be used on enemies for a total of five times and deal a lot of damage, making the challenge easier to beat.
The area around the challenges is close to water. You can lure enemies towards water then use Cryo for Freeze, Electro for Electro-Charged or Pyro for Vaporize reactions!
We recommend targeting Cryo Potioneers first so you don't get frozen yourself.

For this section of The Great Gathering, all enemies can easily be dealt with while sitting inside the Waverider. Treasure Hoarders aren't challenging since they will often have explosive barrels right next to their boats!

To get 3000 points or more, you need to focus on destroying the Transport Balloon as quickly as possible. Defeat any Treasure Hoarder you encounter to get more points too!
To quickly do damage at the start, use the barrel that spawns right beside the Transport Balloon as soon as the challenge begins. You can continue with the barrage of attacks using the Waverider's cannons until the Transport Balloon is down!

The main priority would be to destroy the Transport Balloon as quickly as possible with either the attacks from the Waverider or from explosive balloons!
To have more points, you need to beat the Treasure Hoarders around the area! Note that you should still focus on destroying the Transport Balloon, but you can go ahead of it and defeat any enemies near explosive barrels.

During the challenge, you'll encounter one Pyro Marksman with an attack pattern similar to a Fatui Pyro-Slinger Bracer. The other Elite Treasure Hoarder will be a Crusher-type of character that will deal heavy damage on your characters if they get hit!
Bring a shield character with you, as the Pyro Marksman Elite Treasure Hoarder will lock in and home on you if you don't dodge away. The Crusher Hoader will deal heavy physical damage to your characters!
You can launch a surprise attack on the Pugilist Elite Treasure Hoarder camps with the Quelling Firecrackers when you reach the area. The firecrackers are situated a bit farther away, so it's possible to do this!

During the challenge, you need to collect a certain amount of items while defeating enemies along the way. Keep an eye on the minimum requirement that will appear on the side. As soon as you fulfill the requirement, quickly race towards the finish line!
As you go over the challenge, keep your hands on the collect buttons. When you pass by an item you need to collect, you can immediately get it!
There are barrier obstacles at some parts of the race. Blow them away as soon as you see them from afar!

Keep an eye on the timer when you start the challenge, it won't show the raw 90 seconds on it, so take note that you need to finish in 1 minute and 30 seconds or more. This will give you an idea when to take your time and when to quickly race!
When you see or go near a Treasure Hoarder, immediately launch as barrage of waverider cannon attacks until they go down to quickly get over the requirement!
While the challenge above also has Water Rings that boost the Waverider's speed, there are more in this challenge. Make sure to use it to speed through the map. A good way to go faster is to use the waverider dash acceleration!

Capitalize on the reactions that go well with the Pyro of the Quelling Firecrackers. You can Vaporize, Overloaded, and Melt the enemies to beat them fast. In addition to that, you can use Anemo to interrupt the lightweight enemies!

You need to defeat all enemies within 1 minute and 30 seconds to get all rewards. To beat the enemies, gather them in a single area using an Anemo AoE attack, then inflict Hydro to create a Hydro-Swirl with it. Afterwards, use Cryo to freeze all enemies, so you can comfortably attack them all with ease!
The Quelling Firecrackers can inflict Pyro when used on enemies. You can use this to create a Pyro-Swirl instead with Anemo then use Overloaded, Vaporize, or Melt!
While inflicting a Swirl, specifically target the ranged enemies like Potioneers and Marksmen. These enemies will wear your characters down with Elemental Reactions, so you need beat them before the Elite Treasure Hoarders!

Carmen |
Wallenstein |
Liuliu |
Boss |
The names above can be seen when you cast your Elemental Sight on the enemies! All of these enemies have their DEF increased, which makes them harder to beat without using the Quelling Firecrackers.
The Elite Treasure Hoarder - Carmen has an attack pattern similar to a Seaman and a Gravedigger! They will charge at you using their weapon if you're close. If you're a bit far away, they will blind you using the dirt they dug up.
Their attacks are similar to a Crusher, when you're near they will use their heavy hammer to hit your character. When you're further away, they will charge at you while continuously waving their hammer.
Liuliu's attacks are quite similar to a Fatui Pyro-Slinger Bracer, they will move away from you and use a Pyro-like bullet to hit you once! They will also use a grenade-like item to hit you. They will eventually charge up their weapon and launch three consecutive bullet hits in a single direction, which is lethal if you don't move a way from it.
The Boss uses an axe to hit the characters when they are close. They are also capable of buffing their allies if you don't defeat them fast enough!
